Don't blame you what a strange thing to do. My dog poop goes home with me.

That's absolutely minging. I'd be raging too.

Contact the Environmental Health and see if they can DNA test it and fine them.

To caveat that... It's my recycling bin!! So I had to fish the smelly fucking bag out. Made me so mad! Has happened about 5 times now into the recycling bin

Yes, its illegal to leave it on the pavement, theres a massive fine, but they have to be able to prove its your dog....so they DNA test it and the dog!
I'm not sure they are allowed to put it in your bin, especially not your recycling bin.

You're going to have to do a steak out, and chase after them throwing their bag of shit at them. Cheeky bastards.

Urgh, we had this and it is vile.

We have a large patch of grass directly outside our house where people walk dogs. Our wheelie bins are kept in a store behind our row of hedges at the front of our house.

We noticed loads (and I mean loads!) of little bags in our bin and they reeked.

Can't believe that people were cheeky enough to walk onto our property to use our bins! What's really awful is that anyone who walks their dogs outside our house pretty much lives within a 2 minute walk, it's not as if they've got to walk miles carrying a bag of their dog's stinking shit home.

Cheeky bastards. DP put a huge note on our bin about it and shouted out of the window at someone he saw doing it.

We haven't had any trouble since Grin

There are dog bins everywhere as they are in pretty much every park.
It's so rude, I've had a similar experience with people putting dog poo in my bins too. It makes me mad.

Poop can go in green or grey bins round here - I checked - so long as bag is biodegradeable

Better than shit on floor no bag - so long as it wasn't every single day wouldn't bother me at least its being picked up

I went for a walk with a friend who has a dog and she did this - stuck the bag on a bin at the end of someone's driveway. When I suggested that wasn't on she said that "everyone" does it. Hmm

PJBanana Your situation reminded me of a nearby farmer who's had to put up a sign telling people not to use his field as a toilet and that it isn't his job to clean up their (literal) shit. People are bloody disgusting sometimes.

Agree with navy - better than leaving it on the floor. Not recycling bin though - that's just stupid.

I also think the rubbish bin is fine. In fact I reckon people should be able to put 'stick your shit in here' with a smiley picture of a dog on their bins to encourage this. We don't have many council poop bins around this way and it would help with all the danglers left hanging in trees.

whiteappleton that is vile.

I do agree that it's better than leaving it on the floor. But in our area bins are only emptied every 2 weeks.

Having 2 weeks worth of dog shit in your bin absolutely reeks. Especially when people could just put it in their own bin, or one of the many dog waste bins in the area Hmm

I've had a bag of dog pooh in the bin they would've had to walk up to my door to get to the bin.
What is worse (IMO) is that both NDN have dogs (so theoretically, used to pooh, I don't have a dog) but they picked mine .

Moon can you lock your bin or put a note on it?

(I staked out someone who let their dog pee on my car and crap on my drive. I tried disinfectant to put the dog off, no change. Then once I was in my bedroom, saw her let her manky mutt squat and I shrieked , fishwifely out the window. Oi don't let your dog shit in my garden Poor dog was dragged away , mid flow.
Problem solved

I really wouldn't appreciate my council tax money being spent DNA testing dog shit! Maybe once everyone is properly housed and provided with adequate social care we can think about such extravagances Smile.

Clearly, some people think it is acceptable. If you don't and it's a problem for you, perhaps stick a laminated note on your bin asking people to kindly refrain.

eurgh they do it here as well. it's really annoying if they then use the wrong bin.
which means bin people reject it and I or dh have to dive in to retrieve the stinking parcel.

we have bin locks now...

Same thing happend regularly in my old property now bins are a bit better hidden thank goodness.

In our last home, someone would do it but they never closed their bags properly and I ended up having to clear out the bin on a very regularly basis with bleach, because it utterly stank of dog crap causing me to want to vomit every time I opened the bin.

It even resulted in a massive maggot infestation, because they chucked in their dogs crap, didn't tie up the bag properly and left the bin lid open.

Every time we opened the bin it utterly stunk of dog crap and yes it was a massive problem after two weeks Angry especially in summer and what was more annoying is that two minutes up the road was a bloody dog park with a dog crap bin.

It's a bin, and it's not even your bin - it's the council's bin.

I cannot believe anyone could anyone could muster up the energy to get excited over someone putting something in a wheelie bin.

I would be delighted for anyone to put shit in my bin rather than leave it on the bloody pavement.

Report
KoalaDownUnder · 23/09/2016 13:57

I wouldn't care, as long as a) the poo bag is tied off, and b) it's bin day anyway.

True, but it's on my property.

For anyone who says this is a petty thing to complain about, I'm sure you'd be delighted if I wandered onto your property without permission and dropped a pile of steaming shite into your bin, where it would proceed to fester for the next 2 weeks.
