To give up potty training

Ds, nearly three, was potty trained and down to the occasional accident but going unprompted, able to do long car journey etc.

Then ten days ago he just completely lost it seemingly. Nothing other than a slight cold has changed.

He's have multiple accidents a day. Doesn't seem to care if he is wet or dirty. Half the time is going in the potty eg massive wee but then accidents twenty minutes later

Everything I have read is to not go back to nappies but I don't know what to do

Have you had him checked? For urine infection if he was dry and now isn't.

Pretty sure no infection, and both types of accidents. He does about half in the potty eg today 10 episodes in the potty, all big , and 10 accident again all big.

Just seems that he needs to toilet alot at the moment

Is he drinking more than usual?

Take him to the gp soon, that would be my advice. Hopefully tomorrow

Genuinely. Is he drinking more too?

You can get diarrhoea with a urine infection

But what everyone is also just wondering about is diabetes. If he is drinking more than usual and newly wetting because he is peeing more get him seen urgently

Hope it is just a phase instead

10 times in potty AND 10 accidents means he's going 20 times a day. That's not normal. Take him to GP

20 times a day? Wouldn't you see a doctor if you were going 20 times a day?

How long was he potty trained for? Just a couple of weeks, or a lot longer?
