AIBU?

To think it's really my business where I'm working?

That title sounds grumpier than the content, but honestly, AIBU about this, please?

I'm doing some supply teaching. I haven't done this before. I signed up with one agency that was local to me and then another one at a friends suggestion/recommendation.

Both have offered me work :) but if there's a clash, they each demand to know where I'm going, which other agency I'm with and I don't feel totally comfortable telling them, I'm not sure why - perhaps because I'm worried the agency I am working for might not like it. But then other times I can't work and explain this and get 'why? What are you doing?'

AIBU to think this isn't on and is actually really annoying!

Just repeat the lines. Sorry I am not available. If they push say you have personal plans etc sound silly but some agencies will 'punish' you for going with the competition!

I used to get offered agency work and I'd just say 'sorry I am not available today.' if they had ever had the cheek to ask I'd tell them that I get offers from all sorts of places as I am jobbing tutor so they need to get in early if they want me!

I often got asked to do the full week after the first day; and if I could do just 3 out of the 4 I'd just say 'I can do that apart from Thursday' and they just got someone else in for that day.

I'd never tell them it was another agency to be honest.
