To ask why people just say 'YABU' or 'YABU' without adding anything to the thread?

Like, the general consensus is that the OP is NBU but then someone randomly wanders on and says 'Yabu'.

Because sometimes the situation is so obvious that all you need is a yabu

Well obviously it's because the question is "aibu?". It's not difficult really.

At least there wasnt an odfod.

Why say a million words when the acronym answers the question.

This isn't an exam which requires a detailed explanation for your response.

YABU.

Willow2016 Thu 08-Sep-16 22:15:23

Q: AIBU?

A: YES/NO = YABU/YANBU

If you dont want to/have time to explain why you think that then thats all you need to say really.

They do because they can and also because the rules - such as they are - do not preclude it. What's it to you anyway? hmm
