Shard of metal in my lush soap!! What the actual fuck ouch!

Groovee Thu 08-Sep-16 11:32:32

YANBU take it back

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost Thu 08-Sep-16 11:43:54

shock. shock. YANBU. You must have got the shock of your life.
Take it straight back. I'd say they need to take them out of sale immediately while they investigate.

VioletBam Thu 08-Sep-16 12:00:16

Oh God! That could have cut you!

Barksdale Thu 08-Sep-16 12:09:17

Wow. Hopefully a mechanical fault and not a disgruntled employee.

SandyY2K Thu 08-Sep-16 12:20:15

I'd do more than take it back. I'd be expecting compensation for the distress.

RedSauceAndJellyJuice Thu 08-Sep-16 12:22:11

sandy are you joking ?

amusedbush Thu 08-Sep-16 12:22:30

Fucking hell, that's awful! Did you hurt yourself?

Soubriquet Thu 08-Sep-16 12:22:58

Ooo ouch. Least you spotted it before it did some damage.

Take it back

LunaLoveg00d Thu 08-Sep-16 12:23:44

Yes take it back. Lush are a company which trade on being responsible and ethical. They will most certainly replace it and apologise profusely.

WorraLiberty Thu 08-Sep-16 12:25:33

That's dreadful OP

What have they said about it? Are they going to take them off the shelves while they look into it?

Sandy your post did make me laugh grin

pasic Thu 08-Sep-16 12:34:59

Is that black soap?

Mycatsabastard Thu 08-Sep-16 12:35:19

Yes, take it back, they will more than likely give you a load of freebies anyway.

We were in lush recently and DD (aged 10) wanted to buy some little robot bath bombs. The girl serving us accidentally knocked a straw out of DDs slush cup so gave her a free bath bomb.

They are generally a lovely company.

Benedikte2 Thu 08-Sep-16 12:41:59

I'd contact the HO with the pic rather than return to the shop as then more likely to get action. Company will probably arrange to have the soap sent to them for analysis etc and arrange for you to get complimentary products. A lot of hassle for the local shop who may just give you a replacement and chuck the faulty on.
Good luck

Iggi999 Thu 08-Sep-16 12:45:03

Good grief. Are you perhaps in prison OP? In which case could come in handy.

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky Thu 08-Sep-16 12:46:51

What soap is that?

I'm a complete lushie and have never seen that soap before.

scampimom Thu 08-Sep-16 12:47:07

From the title I was expecting rather a different thread subject grin

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky Thu 08-Sep-16 12:48:43

Never mind, I've just realised that it's coalface.

MimsyBorogroves Thu 08-Sep-16 12:49:38

Yep, contact the company directly.

I also expected the thread to take a different direction grin

whywonthedgehogssharethehedge Thu 08-Sep-16 12:52:08

I would take it back to the shop first and let them deal with it at that level. If they are shite at doing so THEN I would go more public with it.

LauraRoslin Thu 08-Sep-16 12:52:22

Your contract of sale is with the shop, so take it back to the shop.

Lush are the people who support hunt sabs, aren't they? Maybe they got confused about which animals they were planning to hurt that day.

hellsbellsmelons Thu 08-Sep-16 12:59:32

Wow - that is bad.
I hope you didn't hurt yourself with that.
I'd be ranting at them right now!

Barksdale Thu 08-Sep-16 13:12:44

Eh? Hunt sabs prevent foxes from being ripped apart by disrupting hunts. Not sure why you think they "hurt animals".
