To seriously dislike my childs teacher?

My son had his first day ever at school yesterday. He is autistic (mildly) and has been sent to school with a fully funded psychologist as his aide. The council chose the school for him to go to and its not in our neighbourhood. We had a pre-back to school meeting with his team and his teacher and headmaster. To say they were unenthusiastic is an understatement. The teacher is like an ice queen, young but clearly experienced. The council held a training day for the teachers of the handful of kids in this integration project and she refused to go. All the others did. She's also refusing to meet any of his team after school hours. I get it. Her job scope has changed I guess but as any special needs parent knows, school success is dependent on the goodwill of those on his side and I feel she's just not. This morning I dropped him off and she didn't even say hello back. I used to teach so I understand her reservations. But to have an attitude with it is tearing my heart apart. Yesterday I asked my husband to do the school pick up because I couldn't stand dealing with her coldness. My DS does so well when people are warm and my I am just so sad for him and his aide if she's like this with them going forward. If he was in a private school he wouldn't be going back for a third day thats for sure. AIBU?
