To think my family is odd

As the title says.
Everyone has two children.
They are either two boys or two girls.
One of those children has either both two boys or two girls.
The other has two boys if the other had two girls, or vice versa.
And it carries on!
There is no exception!!!
Do you have any stories which others think are unbelievable?

My Mother was one of four - three girls and a boy:
The boy went on to have one child.
One sister had none.
One sister had two children.
One sister had four children.

The sister with four - three girls and a boy:
The boy went on to have two children.
One sister had none.
One sister two children.
One sister had four children.

And this is where is currently breaks - the sister that had four children:
The brother had none.
One sister had two children.
One sister had one child.
One sister had one child.

And...., my brother's wife's middle and last name were the same as my Mother's first and maiden name.

Ta dah!

My daughter is the first girl in 6 generations of boys on my DH's side. I do t think that's overly weird, but my DH's gran is amazed by it! When we found out Dd was a girl at the 20 week scan and told her, she said "but OurSurname men don't make them that flavour!" Hmm

I'm the only girl in my generation and so is my DD on both sides of my family:

My mum is the oldest of three girls.
Mum had just me (a girl)
Middle sister had 3 boys
Youngest had 2 boys

Middle sisters oldest son had 2 boys
Her middle son had 3 boys
Youngest is childless

Youngest sisters oldest has a son.
Youngest childless.

My dad is oldest of 4 boys and a sister.
Dad has me (girl)
Brother 1 has 2 boys
Brother 2 childless
Brother 3 has a son
Sister is childless

Brother 1s oldest has 2 boys
Youngest has 1 boy

Brother 3s son has twin boys.

I have a DD. It's really strange isn't it?

Bit different but my parents oldest child was a boy born on his dad's birthday.

My eldest child is also a boy born on his dads birthday.

Dd is the first girl born into dh's family for 100 years.

My mum's date of birth is 28.07, my due date was 28.07 (I came two days late in the end) and my 2nd daughter's due date was 28.07 (she came 4 days early). So we could have all had the same dob.

I think the three generations of us having the same due date must be quite unusual as it's hardly something you could plan but DH thinks it's likely to be fairly common. Any ideas?

I listened to MIL drivel on for years about nobody in their family having mixed families. They all had all boys or all girls, until DH's cousin had a boy then a girl, then the other cousin had a boy after 2 girls, just chuffed we don't hear it anymore because it drained the life out of me

My dh has 2 sisters. One was born on his mum's birthday, the other on his dad's birthday. I find that interesting and think it's fairly unusual.

My children's names each start with the last letter of the preceding child, completely unplanned, didn't even notice until one day when I put names up on their doors... for example Abigail, Liam, Melanie, Edward :) I like it now I've noticed it but it odd to think I didn't realise as I named them.

DF and his parents have birthdays on 3 days in a row.
And DM has been married 3 times - each time to someone with the second name William (two middle names, and 3rd surname & has no middle name).

We have a weird thing! My mum has proper brown eyes with no other colours in them, my dad had amazing, matte, blue/grey eyes. My sister and I both have grubby green eyes (green/grey/bit of brown), my husbands are the same, with a bit of gold. My two sons have my dad's eyes, despite it completely skipping me (ds2 has a few gold flecks, like dh, except in grey eyes very unlike my dh's hazel). My daughter has my eyes. I am guessing that women carry the blue gene from my side, but only males can actually have the blue/grey eyes. My sister is about to have her first dc (boy) with her blue eyed dh - very interested to see what happens there!

DH's family: father and brother each had 2 sons and his uncle had 2 daughters. We had a daughter and when I was pregnant with our second, his aunt ('head' of family by this stage) asserted I would be having a second daughter because that was the pattern. When we had DS she did seem affronted.

The first born female in 4 generations were all born within a span of 6 days, over 96 years. My great aunt, Oct 24, my aunt Oct 21, my sister Oct 27, and my daughter October 23.

What makes it even more odd is that my sister was more than 2 weeks late, and my daughter was 2 months early...

DH and both DDs and me all Virgos. As are DF, DSiL, DNiece and DNephew. That's 8 Virgo's out of a family group of 11.

Slightly different but - I was born on the same day as my BFF.
My mum was born on the same day as my BFF's mum.

We've had some really weird coincidences through our life - where BFF and I have had similar-but-different things happen to us.
Not so weird:
• we both like white wine, but different ones.
• We both started wearing glasses at school - she grew out of needing them, I didn't.
• We both fell pg before we got married (accidentally)
• Both had boys.

More weird (and possibly outing!):
• she had bad sciatica as a young woman, I developed it about 10 years later
• We both have sliding hiatus hernias (she had hers first)
• We both suffered a severe loss when we were about 20w pg (not the baby)

Weirdest of all: she had a diagnosed blood condition from very young, because her mum had it. Blood doesn't clot properly.
When I was an adult, my uncle died of a blood clot - family checked - I have a blood condition where my blood clots too much.

I'm very wary of anything that happens to her now!!
