To take my dc traveling?

They are 5 & 7, my friends are of the opinion that we've missed the window of them being easy to travel with, and that it'll be too hard for them to miss a year or so of school.

Aibu to think that it is possible to take dc traveling?

Of course you haven't missed your window.

Go. It's never to late and if anything i'd say they are they perfect age, old enough to remember it but young enough for it not to impact their education too much.

Er yes you can't take them out of school for a year unless you're going to commit to home educating them while on the move.

It depends on how well you're going to be able to educate them.

The only home educating you need to do whilst travelling is travel and read, maybe write a journal. Learn maths from the local currency.

My DC are 5 and 7- it's my biggest regret that I have never been travelling and I thinking about taking them all the time- if I could afford to give up my job and go I would I really would! Where are you thinking of going? I'm excited for you!

Go! I really regret not having the courage to do this when DC were young. Personally I would incorporate some reading, writing and maths (I'm a primary teacher) but an hour a day 1:2 would be sufficient

If this were an option for me I would do it in a heartbeat. They will learn more in a year of traveling than they would ever learn in school. Go for it!!

Yes, of course we would continue to educate the dc.

We're thinking of Central and South America.
