but doesn't know it. A towel was dropped on the bedroom floor 2 days ago. It's still there. I've entered him into the challenge to see when it gets picked up, but not told him. AIBU?

Can we have a picture? A lot depends on placement, position in relation to the bed etc. Is it still wet?

Has he showered since?! Or does he just nick yours ...grrrr!

Do you only have one towel each Mrs Mark?

Was it wet when dropped there? I need to gage the potential smell as a factor...

You'll give in before he does. If he's anything like my DH anyway Grin

I entered DH is a similar competition a few years ago. We ended up with six teabags sitting in a saucer for seven days before they made it into the compost caddy. I don't drink tea...

Based on my experience, I'll put 50p and a fruit pastel on five days total.

Wasn't too wet; was used for ds after a bath, but he wiggles out of it pretty quickly and uses our duvet/the air to dry Smile.

I have lots of towels, but they're down the hallway so DP just nicks mine if his is on the floor out of arms reach.

If it's not even his towel I'll give at least a week but possibly forever!

Im going two weeks... Before you crack.

NeedACleverNN · 31/07/2016 21:12

Make sure you put all the other towels under lock down and he might crack first..

more likely you will crack before this thread finishes

Chlorinatedfrontbum · 31/07/2016 21:25

I refuse to crack!!! I'm fed up picking up after everyone! Angry

It's not his towel in his head, it's DS's towel. Which he may well think is your job (what with you having ovaries and all). I'm in for four more days and a Hmm face from him. Betting a bag of slightly crushed meringues.

The Great Sandwich Toaster Challenge lasted 7 weeks in our house. How big is your bathroom? Can you safely operate around the towel?

Report
Elisheva · 31/07/2016 21:48

Sorry, just re read that it's the bedroom floor. In which case I'm going with never.

I did this, but gave up. Basic house rule, if you want something washing, put it in the laundry basket. It will then be washed, dried, ironed (if appropriate), and put away ready for you within 36 hours.

DH left a towel on the floor, which he then proceeded to reuse for the next 3 MONTHS.

It was disgusting.

Any update on towelwatch OP?

Still there. And last night he threw his dirty work clothes on top of a basket full of clean clothes Angry There's no hope.

LOL

My bet is ... Wednesday. He'll pick it up sometime on Wednesday.

My DH dumps his wet towels on the bedroom floor. But, he does pick them up again within 12 hours if i don't.

Blush I read this as trowel! I couldn't figure out why you would have a muddy trowel in the bedroom. I reread it 3 times before I realised it was towel! Makes much more sense.
I think 11 days , before you cracking, but he won't notice.

I entered one of these with my DH over washing up. He cracked first

I expected this thread to be about you having sent DH down to a hotel pool to bag a sun lounger! I thought you wanted us to bet on whether there will be any left or not!

But the bedroom floor towel. That'll be there until next summer!
