AIBU?

Eh? Where'd the unreasonable childminder thread go?

It's been deleted , why?

I know it's a taat but it seemed non goady.

What did I miss before this goes up in smoke ?

Probably a troll (again!)

I have to say, I was flabbergasted that any childminder would behave like that over what is a pretty standard event and was just posting to say so. Seems it was all a dream 🙄

Is the zoo thread still here?

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 30/07/2016 12:16

Well bugger me, I didn't see that coming.

Thanks for replying.

The zoo one I mean - was there another one?

Laguna , there was a thread about an unreasonable cm who was very angry that one of her mindees had soiled himself.

Seemed very innocuous but it's gone , very abruptly.

Weird.

Ah, never saw that one, thanks.

Ohhhhh ..... I thought the zoo one had exploded and I'd missed it!

To be honest both were getting over the top.

Most posters were telling her not to send him back , quite rightly imo but the OP seemed fairly sensible in her replies. Did the thread go a bit tits up?

Well odd.

It said it was deleted for breach talk guidelines...

Report
ExtraHotLatteToGo · 30/07/2016 13:05

Deletion message is weird.

'Breaking talk guidelines'

No indication of which one, OP was pretty normal, I suppose we are to assume it was a troll? PBP?

I'm getting ready for another very long break from MN. It's a shame because it was great years ago, but between the trolls & the invasion of the Huns it's hard to find threads that are genuine & not full of the hard of thinking.

I thought the deletion message was abrupt and a bit odd Latte, no explanation at all about why as HQ has done before.

Yup the Huns, lolz and xxx are becoming a regular occurrence . I don't want to be a twat and comment but it's bloody annoying.

I can't imagine not logging on though even with twattish posts.

I wonder if it's an MNHQ newbie? It just seems so odd.

Yes the xxx LOL's & Huns are bloody annoying. For me though, it's the 'hard of thinking' & 'taking of offence' over the tiniest little thing that's really doing my head in.

On top of that, so many people are not reading the threads, not even the OP's posts and seem to be unable to use ANY comprehension skills on the bits they do read...

Op posts: 'My 2 DS's (2&4) are doing so & so. My DH says blah blah'.

Poster replies: How old are your kids? Are you a singke parent?'

Just arghhhhhhhhh

Grin, yeah.

I laughed the other day over the 'above ground swimming pool' thread. One twatty poster completely ignored the AIBU in question and was determined to spit ' it's a paddling pool ' at the poor OP.

And the non mn emojis

Should be mn emojis only when on mn!

😂

Tanith · 30/07/2016 13:36

Oh dear, that'll be me! Blush😳

To be honest, I only use them if I can't find an MN alternative and there's no eyeroll yet. Probably just as well when you think how huffy some people get over the Hmm

Report
NeedACleverNN · 30/07/2016 13:39

An eyeroll one would be good actually

Tanith, even. Maybe not so fast after all! Ah, MN! It's certainly been something of a learning curve for the non-internet-savvy like myself!

I think the one I'd like to see is a hard-stare, unimpressed one - my DD could model it to perfection - all I'd have to do is say "tidy your room" Grin.

Or a RBF. Apparently, I'm good at that one in real life.... (Forces a smile) Smile
