Following on from the post about claiming on the insurance for fake injuries

Would n't it be better if instead of a lump sum you got loss of earnings as cash and medical bills to be settled with hospital/ physio/ mobility aid shops. On homes under the hammer a girl had been in an accident and used the money she had in trust as a deposit on an investment property. Someone I knew travelled the world. To me that isn't what insurance should be about.
