AIBU re loud thumpy neighbours

I genuinely cannot tell if I'm being unreasonable or not. I don't think I am but you lot could tell me differently.

My neighbours are so loud. Their kids run around screaming and thumping from dawn til dusk (6am-10pm roughly). It's just constant and I don't know what I can do if anything?
Whenever I've been out in the garden it's become apparent their kids are on the wild side (fair enough, some kids are) they keep trying to peer into our garden and whenever I go out they stare at me weirdly until I either get in my car or disappear into the distance.

Normally, I'd stick a note through the door but there's a language barrier. I've tried speaking to the mum (the Dad seems to be away all day doing deliveries in a UK mail van) and she stares blankly and I think she has no idea what I'm saying. She can say Hello but that's it, so I don't know how to go about getting this noise problem sorted?!
I have a 2.5 yr old DD and because I've lived in flats most my adult life noise control is drilled into me, so we live quietly as does DD.

Help?! Sad

How old are her DC?

If they're school age then they should be multi-lingual.
The peering over the wall is very rude (I'm sure if you told them to Go Away your facial expression, body language and gesturing would get the message across, though of course it depends on how old they are)

6am is way too early for noise and 10pm is too late , even allowing the Kids will be Kids arguement.

There is Environmental Health (noise) that you could contact, explain the level and duration of noise and ask for advice?
They might have leaflets in Multi Language that you can give to her?

It is anti social and just because you have put up with it till now, why should you carry on? Especially now the school holidays have started.

I have some neighbours who thump a football into a fence. Thump Thump thump.

I am so tempted to stand in my garden and yell "FFS go to the bloody park" (they are not little)

If I snap, I'll knock on their door though rather than yell like a fishwife Blush

Actually, I've just read that the dad drives , so I'm guessing he has a command of English, even if the Mother doesn'y.

Next time they are noisy at 6am or 10pm, knock .
Even if he is just home or just going out, He probably doesn;t know the noise levels if he's out.

I would record the noise from your side of the house too, let them know how loud it is.
