AIBU?

AIBU to ask you what it could possibly mean

I am working with translations of some video subtitles and find this untranslated phrase, marked with red: "А! You go prey senting elves if Frizzy Li’l Bill sing or Bud the Frontal Little Bit"
AIBU to ask you, what that could possibly mean?

What context? What is the video about? What's on screen with the subtitles?

People are talking of what they'd rather have other people do, like "I'd make my little brother bring me tea in the morning"

"Haha! You are presenting ones self as if (something) but really you are putting on a front"

I'll try and figure the rest out!

The translator had to translate it from English, but apparently, failed.

"you go presenting [your?]selves ..."

Bill sing = "building"

Bud the Frontal Little Bit could be 'but the front a little bit'

Prey senting elves could be 'presenting themselves'.

I have no idea about the middle section.

Yes Fruit might have it - Bud = "put" (say it with an accent, puddin' putting)

А! You go prey senting elves if Frizzy Li’l Bill sing or Bud the Frontal Little Bit

What about...
Here you go presenting Elvis, for he's a little bill singer, but the front a little bit
Yup definitely it.

Hang on OP - don't you know what the song is? We could easily help find the actual lyrics.

Report
Pettywoman · 24/07/2016 19:41

I don't think it's a song, more a talking head/ vox pop interview show type thing.

I don't have the video, just this text
