I know this sounds like a fake Daily Mail story but honestly it's true! Would love some objective opinions.
My next door neighbours are a couple in their 50s with 2 20ish year old sons. We have had major fallings out over their parties (till 4am regularly) and reported to the council, so parties have died down. They have all regularly smoked weed (day to day) and done laughing gas (at parties). We can see this over our fence as they are always in the garden.
My DS1 has asthma and we can smell the weed in our house. We have told them to stop but they continue. Now looks like they are growing weed (see photo). Her husband doesn't work and smokes weed all day, which obviously has an impact on how we use our garden.
I'm a teacher too and am sick of this woman's hypocrisy of being a head teacher in local primary school. Teachers have to follow the standards which includes upholding the law.
I know this is now a personal vent but I am so angry with the years of noise and drug taking that I kind of want her to suffer too blush
Anyway, do I shop her to the school governors? Maybe call 101? Or live and let live and look forward to when we can afford to move?

That's a nettle.

Disabrie22 Sun 10-Jul-16 22:31:52

She must be absolutely bonkers to do that as a head teacher - is this thread for real???

Disabrie22 Sun 10-Jul-16 22:32:17

I was going to add - that's not weed.

CheesedOffChiquita Sun 10-Jul-16 22:32:26

Ummm...that's not weed, that's a nettle!

JackandDiane Sun 10-Jul-16 22:32:41

NO

NO

NO

What she does in her spare time has no bearing on her abilities as a teacher and you would look petty and spiteful for shopping her.

By all means report the drug use to the police though in a private capacity.

Nettles are definitely weeds

BendydickCuminsnatch Sun 10-Jul-16 22:32:47

grin

Lilly948204 Sun 10-Jul-16 22:33:08

Ha ha ha that is a nettle

canigoontheipad Sun 10-Jul-16 22:33:28

If it was me I would probably report to the school. Not saying that's the right thing to do, but that would be my gut instinct.

ShatnersBassoon Sun 10-Jul-16 22:33:57

Nettle tea can be potent stuff. I had to get up for a wee in the night after drinking it at Scouts.

whoyougonnacall Sun 10-Jul-16 22:33:58

I know, does look like a nettle but they grow it / them in boxes of water - take it out in the sunshine then bring it back in. Not sure why they'd grow nettles?

RosaRosaRose Sun 10-Jul-16 22:34:31

hmm

CheesedOffChiquita Sun 10-Jul-16 22:34:34

If this is a real thread then I think I would be inclined to report to someone. Teachers, especially head teachers, are responsible for so many young people and I can't see how she can be doing her job properly if she's under the influence most of the time, as you seem to suggest?

RadicalPessimist Sun 10-Jul-16 22:34:38

That looks nothing like a cannabis plant.

Owllady Sun 10-Jul-16 22:35:13

The clincher for me would be whether they were picking all the dandelions and wetting themselves

Noonesfool Sun 10-Jul-16 22:35:34

It's not weed.

Could be tomatoes, hydroponically grown.

RedHareWithBlondeHair Sun 10-Jul-16 22:35:35

I'd encourage you to report the nettle to the police just to see what would happen grin.

Passmethecrisps Sun 10-Jul-16 22:35:55

A few hours of week British sunshine won't suit a cannabis plant very well. It may grow but it is unlikely to ever flower. That does def look more like a nettle. So if they are attempting to grow it they are not likely to get anything more than stung.

PUGaLUGS Sun 10-Jul-16 22:36:02

Bet they drink nettle tea!

OTheHugeManatee Sun 10-Jul-16 22:36:03

FWIW I used to grow weed as a teenager. Not 100% sure that is it but as far as I can remember (it was a couple of decades ago) it could be, young plants don't display the familiar leaf shape until they grow bigger. And it's not nettles.

BlurtonOnKites4eva Sun 10-Jul-16 22:36:09

grinconfusedgrin

Queenbean Sun 10-Jul-16 22:36:09

Ha ha ha

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Sun 10-Jul-16 22:36:15

That's a nettlegrin
