Aibu to think with the progression in technology, there could be a device fitted to car, that won't allow it to turn on if your over the limit

Just that really.... The bloke next door just pulled on his drive, pissed up again. He drives to the boozer every weekend. Gets wasted and drives home. Police have never stopped him. Yet "Mrs smith" down the road was In the paper for drunk driving. Had 1 bottle of cider with her Sunday lunch and was over the limit and banned. Obvs the police can't be everywhere. But ppl who do it purposefully never seem to get stopped and banned. Why can't something be fitted to all cars?? Do you think it's be a bit hier ish?

It already exists op.

They put them on the cars here (in Aus) if you've been caught drink driving.

If he does it all the time then report him. No the police can't be everywhere, but if you let them know where they need to be it would be helpful.

They do exist. They are called alcohol locks . In most countries you have to have a conviction for drunk driving for one to be installed.
