AIBU?

AIBU to fear that the UK is turning into a rudderless ship?

Farage and Boris are missing in action after their stunning result. Cameron is keeping his head down. Labour party are fighting like a bag of cats. The Bank of England has said that the effects of Brexit are starting to crystalize and the pound has still not settled. NUF have said they won't be able to find enough workers to harvest their crops, food prices are going to go up (though not sure when).
The BBC seems to have been harbouring another celebrity who they seemed to have thought they could't survive without and let him behave monstrously to staff. An organisation that I have respected for so long has disgraced itself, once again despite all their internal reviews and blah blah blah....

Am I being overwhelmed by the media or are things circling the plug hole? I need some sensible heads here.

I agree with you. Who is the celebrity though?

I think when Theresa May is Prime Minister we will look back in nostalgia to the good old rudderless days.

Chris "Look at my Willy" Evans.
Troll if I plant my head in the sand, it doesn't mean there isn't a chaotic feel to things as they stand right now.
As much as I do not hold the Tories dear to my heart, what I hear of Theresa gives me some comfort. A respected cabinet member, not a viper like others I could mention, not one of the lads (Eton, Bullingdon, pig abuse). So there is that to hold onto but in the mean time someone pull the emergency cord.

Why does CE think anyone wants to see his willy? Confused

Yourperception basically he flashed a female member of staff relentlessy for 2 years. Or would walk into a room starkers. The woman who made the complaint said that the flashing was part and parcel of bullying after she declined his advances.
And the BBC had a complaint from her but nothing was done. AGAIN

Right there with you !!!
I've no idea what is going on in this country and it fills me with so much despair at times .... I'm from Northern Ireland, I'm a mum but we live on the mainland, my parents live in different European countries.... I voted remain, I've registered with labour and I'm praying to my wee nana in heaven that Theresa May gets this gig and sorts the uk out !! We need some good news..... Something to look forward to ?!? Maybe the olympics will cheer us all up ? Or can we order some European sunshine as part of our Brexit deal ?

Much I am also worried about NI. There is going to be more powerplays by Sinn Fein and all the other components that make up the political picture there.
I am from the Republic and do not want NI to descend into chaos, cut adrift once again whilst people who ought to be nurturing its growth wash their hands of it and hope it will sort itself out.

Sorry I think I walked in on another conversation here.

Did Chris Evans do that!

It does seem that way but all we can do is live through it and hope for better things. Do mark down those who are being particularly prattish and remember for the future.

Belgium went 20 months without them a government in 2010-2011.

Not realy Inkanta. The women are about to emerge over the hill with any luck.
Yeah. Chris Evans is being questioned by the police with regards to an allegation made by a female colleague from two years ago. Gaby Roslin has also said he would flash and strip down, though she added she loved him. So thats alright then.
Just google it and there will be a load of news articles from the last couple of days. Think the BBC have exited stage left seem to be distancing themselves from him. Like a snotty hanky

Agree, Maggie T. was the devil on rollerskates but she was surrounded by sycophantic fools. Not that it couldn't happen again, but amongst the pack of drips that are availbe anyone that can elbow Gove out of the way will do for now.
I dont mind a lack of government, its all the chaos that no one seems to be willing to tackle.

Ilolaflores NI is a real worry. Discussion about it's position was almost totally absent during the EU Referendum. Three months to discuss something with such huge ramifications in so many areas. Pathetic.

IOLA ...Nothing dire has happened post Brexit yet, yes it is a state of flux and there will be some waves, every huge change has its rough spots...but the world is still turning, we will soon have a new leader.

I wish people would wait for something to happen, rather than panicking about what may or may not happen...before it does.

Maybe stop reading the papers for a while may help....most is speculation at the moment

n an interview with the Sunday Times in 2005, Evans admitted his penchant for exposing himself at work.

The newspaper reported that Evans “frequently exposed himself at the offices of Ginger Media Group, which owned Virgin Radio and television shows such as TFI Friday. He would interrupt meetings by standing up to pull down his tracksuit bottoms to reveal that he was sexually aroused.”

At the time, Evans told the newspaper: “If you get your willy out, it’s the funniest thing in the world. Everybody laughs, everyone of our generation. I wouldn’t do it in front of my mum, for example. Girls love it; boys -‘Oh, I can’t believe you did that’. It also takes the night to a new level. I actually haven’t done it for a while. But I will do it again.”
Dry heaves reading this.

dragon I don't think anyone on here is panicking ... It's all just chaotic and all a little unbelievable. I can't believe we trust these people to run our country ! Bunch of cowards !!!

re Chris Evans ..... Willys are funny ! I'd imagine his is funnier than most..... Not exactly appropriate but I'd imagine he did get some laughs

My response was to your Aibu, l don't think the drop in sterling is at a critical level yet and it does at least make us look attractive for tourism and investment.

I think we must be the laughing stock of the world and a shinning example of how not to run a country.

The ravens must be packing their bags.
