To not want to repair bent IPhone?

First world problem and total non issue I know.

Today I dropped my IPhone 6s while trying to carry way to much. Luckily I have a tempered screen protector so only that was cracked and not my screen. Phew. Showed my partner and he told me it looked bent, took it out of the case and saw and can't believe I didn't notice it!

Went in to our local phone repair shop to get a new screen protector and asked the man working if the bend could be fixed by them and he said no, he can have a try at bending it back to normal but other than that nothing anyone can do and I have to contact Apple.

Let him have a go at bending it and he certainly made it much better than it was but there is still a noticeable bend, you'd probably have to be looking for it to notice and with a case you wouldn't see at all but it's still there. Payed extra, as I was only going on for the £18 screen protector, to thank the man for trying. Went home and contacted Apple and my insurance.

Insurance said its not covered as it can't be fixed so would have to replace the phone and apple said the same about not being able to fix it. As my phone was no longer under warranty it would cost £280 to do this.

Fair enough, cheaper than buying a new phone but it's still very expensive. It's barely noticeable unless you know it's there anymore, not noticeable at all with a case i would say. Everything works fine with the phone still.

Am I being ridiculous to just want to leave it?

Nope, if it wasn't going to bother me I'd leave it too

If the phone is fully working and you can barely see the bend you'd be mad to spend all that on a replacement

Erm no you would be ridiculous to get it fixed if you can't even notice it!

It sounds like you have very little to gain by replacing it.

Isn't the 6 supposed to have a very very slight curve to it for ergonomic reasons?
