To say that Primark are brilliant with their returns policy

I just returned a pair of jogging pants that had come apart slightly on the seam. I didn't have the receipt anymore but I returned them anyway but was quite prepared to be told nothing could be done.

The girl at customer service said it was a discontinued line and couldn't get a price up so asked me what I'd paid for them. I wasn't sure but I said I thought they were £8. She said fine, did I want to go and choose something else to that value.

I was so pleased. Top marks to Primark for their customer service.

Shame sports direct won't read that!

I took an pair of trainers back. Only worn in the shop and in the car. Told they had been used outside. Got called a liar. Now left with a pair of trainers that squash dds toes...
And a wasted journey in to the city.

So your dd took her shoes off, walked in socks to your car, got in and put the shoes back on. Then before getting out the car took them off again? I don't think so. She wore them outside and afaik all shoe shops wont return shoes that have been worn outside.

She didn't walk anywhere.
Her old shoes had rubbed and her sandals were wet. I put her in the buggy to go and buy new shoes.
She had none to wear, so she didn't walk.
When we got back to the car and unpacked, I put them on her. She kept them on for a bit, then took them off and went to sleep.
But obviously I am a liar. Kids must be shoes 24/7.
There is no conceivable reason for a child to be outside without shoes.

And yes. She does take her shoes off and walk outside. Especially in the rain.

I picked up a pair of toddler fleece trousers in a primary sale a couple of years ago.
They were 50p. I think it was the bottoms of a.set of pj's and there was no top.

Sales girl said "we can't refund those as they are in the sale".
I said for 50p, I couldn't even park my car to bring them back. Never mind drive In to the city...

Fair enough. But the way I read your post was that she wore them out of the shop and into the car. So they would have seen her wearing them outside as she walked out of the shop. Also didn't realise she was in a buggy as you didn't mention that.
But I hold my hands up, I got it wrong. Sorry.

No need to be so defensive, you know you are telling the truth. No need to justify to some bitch having a bad day on internet.
But the cutie pic helps. Love that she's carrying the wellies cos, you know, that's what you do when it rains.

We all have a bad day!
Mine was particularly crap by being called a liar in the shop.
They saw her in the buggy. Holding her boxed shoes.
4 weeks is a good tip. Thanks.
It's been 4 days. Maybe 5.

I had a bit of an argument in primark trying to return a shorts and t shirt set. The lady said the shorts weren't on the receipt so I explained they came as a set so what was on the receipt was correct. She was adamant they were seperate items. We went round in circles for ages, I wouldn't mind but I was trying to explain that she wanted to refund me for more than i paid for. I told her fine just refund me for the t shirt then I'll keep the shorts so she did Hmm bonkers!!
