The story of Noah is in the Biblical book of Genesis chapter 5 - "This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

.......So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. .... I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you."
Hope that helps!

If only Noah and his family were on the Ark then we must all be his family obviously. Unless we are the descendants of the monkeys...oh wait a minute...

allegretto I had that argument with a street preacher on Times Square many moons ago. He was trying to tell anyone that would listen that having black skin was the mark of Cain and therefore everyone of African Descent was doomed.

He didn't like it when I asked how they had survived the flood.

I'm not sure why this is in AIBU....unless it's "AIBU for not bothering to google this myself, and instead asking MN?"

In which case, YABU

Many apologies if this comes across as sarcastic but I wouldn't be able to tell you without reading the bible or looking on google, it's such a specific biblical question many people would need to do this. I'm interested to know why you need to know, school project?

DH has said he has been told by God to build a giant ark because the world is going to be flooded. He wants to put a pair of all animals in there to save them.

AIBU to LTB?

Just had a look at the family tree. I had no idea that there were such complicated trees and I didn't know Levi was a biblical name. Every day's a school day!

Mumsnet would have had a field day with the bible:

AIBU to think that Jezebel is only a target of abuse because she's a woman in a position of power? Is this really the Scriptures We Want?

My people have stopped believing in me. AIBU to wipe them out with a flood?

Hi, man here seeking advice, please be gentle!

DW has told me she's pregnant. It can't be mine as we haven't had sex for months. I thought we just had differing libidos and didn't want to pester her. Anyway she says she hasn't been having an affair and she got pregnant from an angel who told her it would be the Son of God. I'm not sure if I believe her. I work hard as a carpenter all day so don't spend much time at home and she's been acting weird for ages now. Is she cheating or should I be grateful she's been chosen for such a monumental thing? Thanks in advance.
