www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-nhs-might-have-to-be-replaced-by-private-health-insurance-9988904.html

all you idiots that voted for this becuase you 'want to end immigration' - which you have not ended - I am so angry with you. You've destroyed this country.

And destroyed it for my children, so many other people's children who did not want this - 75% of under 24s voted against.

And looking at the comments thread in the Daily Mail, the Brexit heartland, I see so many people regretting the vote because 'things weren't explained to them properly' - which also matches the fact that people with lower educational attainment voted out.

so I'm furious that older, ill educated people who couldn't be bothered to find out the facts have decided on my son's future and have ruined it.

You voted out what you think is an 'elite' and are about to turn us into something worse than America

We're making enemies of our allies. Why do people not see this?

Not a surprise. He is very right wing. Why ordinary people think he will help them is a mystery to me
A basic understanding of politics will give you right wing ideology

You do know Nigel Farage has no say (bar his vote in the general election) in running this country? UKIP has 1 MP.

A vote to leave the EU was not a vote for UKIP.

I have no words. I'm so fucking angry.

Who cares what Farage wants he can't even get elected to parliament, he is a nobody with no power.

You have to admit this has done his political career no harm and enhanced his credibility.
(I hope the way I used that word is clear. He has none to me)

On the bright side, Nigel Farage isn't an MP, so he's not going to get to vote on changing any laws.

1 he said these things last year.

2 he has no power.

This kind of hyperbole needs to stop, the article is from January last year, plus the rather large elephant in the room is that he has no sway in current policies as UKIP only has one seat in parliament.

I'm as much a hater of the Garage as anybody but please step away from your rage circles and employ some critical thinking....

This article is from January 2015.

Well at least UKIP and Nigel Farage have no influence, eh.

When I say 'idiots' I am referring specifically to the people who voted leave and are no complaing that they weren't given the right info , or they didn't quite understand what they were voting for.

On here, in the Daily Mail comments, twitter, friends parents - person after person saying that they felt they hadn't quite understood what exactly they were doing, and it was someone else's fault for not explaining - I don't know, did they want it in cartoon form or something?

These people's stupidity and laziness make me furious beyond belief.

And if you don't believe me take a breath and have a look for yourself

FFS you need to calm down and grow up. Farage has not become emperor, even if he was elected into any sort of power he would have to get his wish list past a government

Let's quit the hysteria and try to act like adults for a while shall we?

Um, you do understand that this was not a GE, it was not a vote for UKIP. He has no power. He is not an MP, soon he won't even be an MEP and he's certainly not PM. It's absolutely irrelevant. It doesn't matter what he says, he has no power. Christ. And people accuse the 'leave' voters of being thick.

Report
prepschoolinsanity · 25/06/2016 19:29

doesn't matter when he said these things, these were publicly available policy comments from a key voice in the leave camp. there is no excuse.

Farage's far-right fantasies may be in a UKIP manifesto for the next General Election.
They did NOT form part of the referendum and will not be put into effect unless UKIP form part of the next government, i.e. unless the electorate lose their minds and vote in UKIP

How can you complain that other people are stupid idiots when you don't even understand Farage has no power?

Farage not an MP.

you do know that, I hope?

Nigel Farage is of little importance. He is an MEP who won't be showing his face in Brussels for a while. He's the leader of a one issue party with 1 MP who doesn't like him.
Nigel can want free beer and fags for all under fives, guns for all and the moon on a stick. Not happening.

I'm pissed off with the result too, but there's plenty that Cameron has said in the past which I disagree with. Farage is an arse, apart from Claig most people on here agree with that.

Report
TheoriginalLEM · 25/06/2016 19:34

Thankfully he isn't am MP so he can blather on as much as he likes but people will very quickly stop listening. we'll have more important things to worry about.
