For telling me he is "experiencing a pregnancy and wouldn't care to go through it again"?

Fuck right off. You're not the one that's knackered ALL the time. You are not the one who's previous back injury has flared up to the point that you're in a constant fluctuating state of discomfort/pain. You are not the one who's body is changing, breasts are sore, feels sick, has hormones raging about and seemingly a million other things.

He is watching a pregnancy he is NOT experiencing it.

Are we talking dining fork, garden fork or pitch fork?

No, go for it.

Do it. In whichever arm is non dominant so he can still run around fetching things for you.

Make sure he does the dishes before he's incapacitated.

DH told me he was still exhausted after sleeping something like 16 hours out of 24 while I was in hospital with newborn pfb. U had had a three-day labour, instrumental delivery and classic newborn feeding patterns.

One day he'll live it down.

YANBU

Fork him, OP

Absolutely ...make sure it's especially rusty

Discussing contraception after ds2 with dh I floated the concept of him having the snip

"But it's a very invasive operation I'll have to go through"

HmmHmm

I raised my eyebrow as I looked pointedly until he realised I had just had my second c sect (which had nearly killed me)

He caught up quickly and left the room sharpish and bought me flowers

Sensible man lol

Definitely go with pitch fork but don't damage Hun too much as you will need lots of chores doing!

My dp also refuses the snip saying he "won't feel like a man" - he is still walking on egg shells for this.

Flowers YANBU, he deserves a good forking.

Report
Rubixx · 11/06/2016 08:55

He's getting the snip. It was that or condoms because I can't use hormonal contraception. He doesn't want to use condoms so it was ✌ or no sex.

I already have one child and I hate pregnancy. Hoped it was just with DD but nope. No chance I'll be repeating this again!

Stab away Grin

I suffered terribly with back pain due to an old injury flaring up. Pregnancy massages were my saviour.

DP told me this week that it was really really hard for him when I have my period. Poor guy...

While I was in labour and on the drip (so contractions knacked even more than usual) DH hurt his back. He almost whispered a complaint and got the death stare. He then asked me not to squeeze his hand so tight as it hurt. Hmmm, let's compare....

I would go for the entire garden implement aisle of B&Q to stab him with

Stab stab stab!

34 weeks today, up at 6 for work everyday after maybe 4/5 hours of broken sleep and want to kill my husband when he says he's tired even though he's been sleeping in a spare room for over a week now.

Not a fan of the "we are pregnant line then, are we OP*? Grin

Yes, a very rusty, very wide pitch fork. And shove it where the sun don't shine so he never says anything so bloody stupid again.

"We are pregnant" is pretty much bullshit, imo. We are expecting a baby? Sure. But there's only one pregnant person in this scenario...

Stab away, OP :)!

My DH made the mistake of telling the nurse that "this is starting to drag on" after I was induced. I had 6 hours of fast paced contractions before we woke him to come in and then everything slowed down. I had been in labour for about 12 bours at this pointConfused the nurse my hero looked him in the eye and suggested that " talking is not your friend " Grin

After almost 40 hrs of labour dd was born in the early hours of the morning, after a while dp was sent home, and had some sleep, before coming back at almost lunchtime the next day.

I still hadn't slept and dp proceeded to ask me to be quiet while he snoozed in the chair, because he had had a long night........

If I hadn't had a small person attached to my boobs said dp would not be alive today Angry.

Another vote for pitch fork here Grin

Stab away OP. My DH no hero on suffering pregnancy either - complained bitterly that he had taken holidays and 'this was taking too long' when I was into fourth day of attempting induction on ds1. He too has announced that he finds pregnancy too difficult! Hmmmm.

Grin at "talking is not your friend."!

If anybody needs it, my friend is a vet and has told me she'll sort out a vasectomy for "her way" if my DH causes trouble! Shock

My "D"H insists my labours (2nd one without drugs) were worse for him than me because he had to witness them. The poor wee soul Angry

Rusty fork, you know it makes sense.
