DH decided he has been 'poisoned' or has heat stroke (played two rounds golf at weekend poor pet in the blistering heat). As a result he hasn't done ANYTHING other that moan about the place since. That's nothing new as he is a particularly useless creature at the best of it. One thing he is good at is working (I also work f/t but as I'm a woman I can manage that plus 3 kids, keep house and do absolutely every other thing in life that isn't physically going in to his work place for him). So he came home early today as he was 'too ill to carry on'. I have been out at work all day and am still at the table working now but having shopped, cooked, cleaned over etc. Despite being so bloody sick he did struggle down out of bed and ate a full dinner (he didn't really think he would but as I'd made it...) and is now lolling on the sofa. My 8 yr old has been begging him to put her to bed but HE TOLD HER TO ASK ME TO DO IT. AIBU to think he just might not last the night....as I'm going to do the lazy sod in the middle of the night!!

Why are you enabling this hypochondria, though?

Aw thanks Irishdad79 - I will hang it up and polish it daily. House just isn't spick n span atm but I might get a few minutes between ferrying cold flannels and cups of hot tea to my poor DH not

"Man flu" isn't a real illness so either he's lying or you're a horrible person.

Why are you still with a 'useless creature'? Hmm

I think your problems go deeper than a bit of man flu.
