AIBU to hope she got a lot more than the original £1.2m settlement that she was offered?

She's settled. I doubt we will find out what the settlement is.

Good for her.
Slightly at a tangent but I personally think that the reason they had such a rubbish season last year was down to how she was treated. I think the players were on her side and when Mourinho slagged her off he lost the dressing room.

Agree and she probably did. Was looking forward to seeing Jose give evidence though!

I am imagining that she did much better financially as there must've been evidence the Club and former manager didn't want to come out at the Tribunal.

Chelsea's statement after the event is very conciliatory towards her.

I can't imagine she would have settled, especially with a confidentiality clause, unless it was for significantly more than had already been offered.

They've bought her silence, so clearly they have something to hide.

If I was a player whose physical health was worth millions of pounds to me personally, I would not break a sweat for a manager who tried to bully my doctor into not treating one of my colleagues.

Of course that lost him the dressing room.

It was an idiotic move on Mourinho's part.

Totally agree DrDreReturns.

I think the players, who depend on their bodies and their fitness to earn a living, saw her as someone "on their side." She was looking after their well being. On the other hand, Jose just cared about the immediate result of the match at hand and didn't care about them in the long run. It was clear that they were just "tools" to him. Once they realised this, their loyalty was affected.

I would think that her position was strong and they gave her a great deal more. She looks gorgeous and wronged in all the papers. They were just looking worse and worse, best to end it.

Chelsea should never have let it get this far!

Really owlsocks? She's just got married in November to a polar explorer although doesn't mean she wasn't having affairs

OK, I'm starting to hate her myself now Envy

Beautiful, smart, talented, successful, married to an explorer, shagging footballers on the side, massive pay out from former employer...

Owl/DoinIt - I think I would put 'alledgedly' into your various sentences, as in 'the word in medical circles is they they were alledgedly having an affair'.

He's a sly one that Mourinho. Rather than get rid of his mistress on the quiet, he chooses his moment for revenge in a high-profile match with millions watching.

Alternatively she wasn't sleeping with both the manager and at least one player, she behaved honourably by attending to Hazard and Mourinho tried to shift the blame for poor results onto her and hounded her out of the club.

With Chelsea apologising to her and settling the case, it is hard to know the truth really.

Both scenarios are just so equally plausible.

Why is it when ever a woman goes up against a group of men "rumours" regarding her sex life always surface.

Yet, everyone seems to accept that men (particularly footballers) behave like this with little comment.

As a bloke I can honestly say that rumour was probably almost definitely made up by other blokes to discredit her, because she's a woman therefore must be sleeping with the footballers. Sad

Fair play to her, I hope she got loads of money. Ambramovic won't miss it anyhow! :)

The one person who has not been criticised who should have been is Eden Hazard for exaggerating a minor knock.

The whole thing is a bad day for anyone wishing to see women have a greater role in sports medicine.

Surely it's a good day?

She took on Chelsea and Mourinho and won.

Adding the word allegedly does nothing to lessen the possibility of a defamation case. You can't just spout off any old tosh and then stick allegedly on the end and magically protect yourself from libel.
