Hi

I'm still new on here but posting here for traffic, I hope that's ok.

In the last 2 years or so I've developed the spiritual healing side of me. Last Friday I finally made it down to Glastonbury, which was a major post life saving bowel surgery goal for me.

Does anyone know of anywhere else in the UK that is either hippy or spiritual please?

Thank you.

Cornwall. More stone circles than you can shake a stick at.

Totnes in Devon has that kind of vibe to me but I'm not sure it's spiritually significant in any way. You'd meet a few like minded people though for sure.

I think a few places in Dorset too. And stone henge of course.

Would second Totnes, the cafes and bookshops often advertise healing groups, meditation groups etc. so you'd find a lot to do down there.

www.megalithic.co.uk photos and listings of stone circles and ancient sites UK and worldwide with directions and more info than you can take in at a glance.

www.goingonretreat.com/ if you're looking to spend some quiet reflective time away from home.

www.hebdenbridge.co.uk/ Similar vibe to Totnes, located in the Pennines.

www.samyeling.org/ I've always fancied visiting this place.

www.findhorn.org/ nice place, read their history, best wholefood shop I know of, on-site apothecary who makes their own range of essential oils etc.

Don't forget to look for Yoga groups, Reiki shares etc. in your own area, check out noticeboards in health food shops, sometimes it's surprising how you don't need to venture far to find what you're looking for Smile

How about a festival this summer? You'd love WOMAD or Wilderness, or Green Man in Wales, or plenty of others! Go fo the more spiritual/worldy ones and avoid the crazy drug fuelled ones.

Tinkinswood Neolithic burial chamber near Cardiff. Camped there once, sat and meditated on the capstone as the sun rose. Lovely place.

Hebden Bridge used to be all about earth mysteries and healing. It seems to have dwindled a bit but probably worth a Google. I live there and it's not as hippy as it used to be.

The Findhorn Foundation in Moray (North of Scotland) www.findhorn.org/

It's a residential community and you can visit some homes on a b&b type basis. Lovely shop and plenty going on no matter which end of the hippy spectrum you are ok!

Tintagel in Cornwall, Stonehenge obviously though there are lots of other less famous standing stones around the UK, St Nectan's Glen in Cornwall

Is there any need for that araiba? She didn't ask if she was being unreasonable, and honestly what business is it of yours if she does want to to down the alternative lifestyle path?
