Witnessed totally disgusting behaviour on the beach at Weston super-mare today. A man and woman arguing in front of a load of kids then she smacked him one on the head and it all kicked off between them, the police turned up and the policeman ended up using his baton on the bloke but the man actually managed to get the baton off the copper and started hitting the copper and the woman with it.
Then a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages as the man shouted 'Thats the way to do it'!!smile

Heh, took me a few seconds!

If you want the eeriest retelling of that story, try Ben Aaronovitch's Rivers of London. I will never feel the same about 'That's the way to do it'!!'

MotherOfGlob Tue 31-May-16 22:23:56

elephantoverthehill Tue 31-May-16 22:26:12

Did you have a ride on a donkey too? Was the tide in or was it Weston-super-Mud?

I looooove that series. Love it. And if they ever made it into a movie or tv series, I think they should cast Samuel Anderson as Peter.

Yoksha Tue 31-May-16 22:34:52

Haha! I was so taken in!

As an aside, Punch and Judy is pretty bloody awful isn't it? I can't actually believe it's still allowed!

SoleBizzz Tue 31-May-16 22:39:48

Facebook has had this doing the rounds forever. Was funny though.

Nice one, nutty.

A couple of years ago I saw a Punch and Judy show at the Clunes Booktown weekend here in Au. Several horrified parents hustled their children away. And that was long before the baby got thrown around. grin

WriteforFun1 Tue 31-May-16 22:44:02

they still have those?

I tried reading a Rivers of London and got bored....now wondering what Ben did to Punch & Judy.

ach well, if you will leave your sausages unguarded...

nuttymango Tue 31-May-16 22:46:07

I think the donkey had been made into sausages, maybe.

DustyBustle Tue 31-May-16 22:46:12

That's the way to do it!

nuttymango Tue 31-May-16 22:58:33

I'm surprised it's still allowed to, but it's 'our' culture isn't it?
