To not really want to water the garden now?

DH left for a boys' weekend on Friday morning. Friday evening 5 year old DD came down with chicken pox.

DH has recently begun a horticultural journey which has culminated in hundreds of plants at different stages of growth both inside and outside the house.

DD has been struggling through the itching and soreness, meaning we've been stuck in one room not sleeping and me basically doing whatever I can to make her comfortable.

Contact with DH has been infrequent. He's just text to remind me to water the plants. Its forecast to rain all day here from 9am tomorrow. WIBU to not water them now and to eat my dinner while I can?

Depends. Water them if they're in pots but don't bother if they're in the ground unless they're newly planted.

She's only comfortable naked and in my bed/bedroom. She's been ever so good and there's nothing I need to be doing other than looking after her.
Her sleeping is fitful and I'm trying to keep her cool so don't want her getting really distressed. Watering the garden and house plants will take the best part of an hour and its pitch black outside!

They're mostly in pots or in raised beds.

Water the pots. Not the raised beds.

Just because he must have spent a lot of money on them, I'd water them. But skip any that look robust if it will rain tomorrow.

I hope your dd feels better soon.

I might just stand on the lawn and squirt the hose pipe all around.

I'd water the indoor ones, as it's been quite hot today. The outdoor ones will probably be fine.

I can't see the status of anything - it's dark and I have zero night vision

I'll go and squirt what I can once DD is back to sleep.

I'd just water the inside ones.
This evening I've watered greenhouse plants and indoor plants.
It rained last night and I'll water the rest tomorrow morn
