Hi, i am just looking for a little help and peoples opinions. Im just wondering what i need to take on holiday for my 6 month lb. its first time away that we will have taken him and I'm am lost on where to start.

Where are you going? For how long? When? Is baby breastfed? Have you started weaning? Are you going self catering?

Are you going abroad? We took our DS away to Majorca at 7 months and he was great. I bought a cheap reclining £20 buggy that I didn't mind getting battered by the airport handlers, for sterilising his bottles I had a large tupperware box and sterilising tablets. I also took a few ready made formula cartons. Where was stayed pretty much had all the same brands of nappies and food that he ate, plus we were AI so it was a great opportunity to sit him in the high chair and give him many different types of finger foods to try.
They are very transportable at that age so just pack the things he usually needs at home. Don't forget a sun umbrella for the buggy, hats and suncream too. Mine just kicked about in the shade in a nappy plus vest most of the time.
Swim nappies too!

Inflatable small round pool. Acts as a playpen in the shade both by the pool and on the beach. Small watering can and balls.

We took my youngest when he was four months. He was mostly BF but had one bottle of formula a night so we brought readymade aptimil bottles and steriliser tablets to use in the bathroom sink.

He slept in a snuzzpod which we carted from home as we knew he wouldn't settle in the massive travel cot provided. We took a cheap stroller with us but in hindsight should have brought our proper comfy pushchair as he couldn't sleep comfortably in it so spent most of the time in his sling.
We go again in August when he'll be 14 months and I'm definitely bringing his proper pushchair with a flat sleeping area.

The sling was indispensable for the plane though and he slept all the journey in it.

We took a float for the pool which had a built in sunshade. That was great. Plenty swim nappies too as we took him in the indoor pool in the hottest part of the day.

I'm expecting it to be far harder this time. Four months was a breeze!

Thank you for all the help its really appreciated. I've got him an inflatable for the pool, and in taking a cheap pram just incase it gets damaged so didn't want to take my big one. he will be 6 months when get go so I'm hoping he will be good on the plane as I'm not very good on them as they set off and land. So would you all say its better to take food with me or just buy it when were over there? Were only going for a week so don't really want to be taking a lot of stuff. But as for the umbrella for the pram i will have to buy one i never thought of getting one.

Dd was 11 weeks when we took her to Florida

We bought a fab thing from mothercare it was like a mobile fan for the buggy hood, sun cream, cheap paddling pool to keep enclosed if at the beach, lots and lots of teeshirts or vests for during the day, a good sunshade, if you still sterilise you can buy cold water sterilising bags, your own brand baby milk, you can buy nappies there
