Feel like losing the plot - nearly 3 year old issues

Hello all, I apologise in advance as this will be a long post. Not even sure it is in the right category, but I need help/advice/guidance.
My son is going to be three soon. We have two other dc's.
Our dc1 has always been full of energy, non stop, on the go, risk taker. He is such a lovely boy at times and then other times he hits, screams, throws stuff and is just plain horrid. I do appreciate other 3 year old may be the same.
He hasn't but any weight on since December and is heading towards the 2nd centile, he has always had loose poos and wants to eat ALL day. He has had two blood tests, which has more or less covered everything now. Everything has come back normal. I was sure that he may be gluten intolerant, but again it has come back normal.
I have spoken to our HV who has advised he shows no signs of autism or adhd, he does have some traits for both, but which child doesn't?
I feel like I am losing the plot. I can't say why, but I feel like something isn't quite right, be it behavioural or medically. But I also have the feeling that people are thinking I am trying to find a fault which isn't there. I just don't know anymore. The Paediatric consultant isn't going to see him again now until August, which is ages away.
I feel awful for saying all this, but I feel really upset about everything too and really don't know what to do anymore :(

What's your gut feeling?

How much and what is he actually eating? Does he seem to have cravings?

I don't think you've got anything to beat yourself up about here, you've taken him to the professionals and had the issues investigated. You haven't ignored it.

Sorry for all the questions btw.

Has he grown in height but not in weight?

3 year old's can be challenging and are on the go a lot and mine certainly had very healthy appetites.

the bit that would worry me is the loose stools and lack of weight gain. have you tried a food diary?

No they haven't. Think we are waiting to see what his weight is like in August and then go from there.
My gut feeling? I think something isn't right. I have one older and one younger dc. Dc1 tho gets to the point where he is "manic" and you can't get through to him iykwim.
His weight worries me as he is little, see part of me wondered if his behaviour and weight loss were connected, but obviously there isn't anything amiss with the blood tests. He just doesn't seem right. He is hard work bless him and I feel like I am losing the plot with it all x

Sorry no sure why it has posted twice. They haven't mentioned a food diary. Although I do have in the back of my mind that it may be something he eats that makes him loopy, hence I was glad when they did the gluten and glucose tests. They have only checked his height once since, so I only have one thing to go by, he is on the 9th centile for height x

:( sorry you are going through this, as you were describing him as DC1 I thought he was the eldest but obviously you've had a 3 year old before.

I'd definitely keep a food diary, I think apart from anything else it will be useful for the appointment in August and give you a focus and make you feel that you are doing something practical. Simply a record of what he's had and not anything else interesting such as loose poo or manic behaviour. It is probably a good thing that they are happy to leave him until August as if they were really worried they would want to see him sooner.

Have you looked into aspergers and gluten. I'm sure one of my relatives said her son with aspergers acts much worse when he has gluten I don't know if there's any proven link though.

and not anything else interesting

That should say "and note anything else interesting..." Doh!

I know you said he's been tested for a gluten intolerance, but have you actually tried cutting it out of his diet?

There's a lot to be said for git instincts imo, even if yours is wrong, you still need to see it through to the end for your own sanity

How about cutting out one thing for a couple of weeks and seeing how it goes?

My ds had loose stools 5/6 times a day so I cut out milk and it stopped pretty quickly and his mood was better too. He's 3 now but still eats a lot as he's always on the go, plus doesn't listen great - cos he's 3!

Sorry, I meant DS1, we have DD,DS1 & DS2. I haven't stopped anything yet, as was told if the gluten came back positive he would still need to be on a gluten diet, for them to be able to do a biopsy. This is now of course pointless.
Is it healthy for a 3 year old to have no gluten whatsoever?
Sorry about app this x

OneMagnum he doesn't have cravings as such. He eats what our other two eat, toast (with Marmite/butteror jam) /cereal (cheerios/coco pops/shreddies) from then on he is constantly asking for more, he tends to have breadsticks, banana, apple, satsumas, yes sometimes he has a biscuit or brioche. Lunch time we have sandwiches, with cheese or ham, then cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, sometimes a yoghurt. Afternoons same as snack in the morning. Evenings same as us, whatever we are having, spag bol, baked potatoes, chicken nuggets & fries, rice and chicken, pasta etc.
Then pudding is usually a yoghurt. He doesn't drink milk, and only has water all day. At weekends DP will give them all treats Confused like chocolate, which they don't need, but ho hum.

These are the tests that they carried out, all in normal range, some higher on the higher end of normal and the others lower end of normal, but still normal:
Full Blood Count
U&E's
LFT's
Glucose
TSH
CRP
ESR
B12
Folate
Ferritin
Two urine tests which are also normal.
I don't know which Gluten Test they did as I don't have the results for that yet.
One thing that I find bizarre is he is so so loud and doesn't understand noise levels, but loud noises freak him.

I will look into what you guys have suggested x

Sounds very similar to my little boy. He is cows milk intolerant. Not lactose, he has goats milk. His reactions are loose stools, tummy ache and two horns coming out his forehead either side of the 666 tattoo! I would start by cutting out cows milk for a few weeks to see if it makes a difference. The worst things for causing bad behaviour are ice cream and yoghurt. We can get away with a bit of hard cheese.
