AIBU?

AIBU to have a curry?

I really really want a curry (some kind of saag something, loads of spices and garlic, yummy). However, I know from experience that will give DD (breastfed baby) terrible farts. Really bad farts, that sound like an adult's well, like either DH or the frankly pretty gassy dog and are so loud they actually wake her up if she's sleeping. She doesn't however seem to be at all uncomfortable (no fussiness or anything) and nappies are normal... So, would I be unreasonable to decide that a farting baby is a price worth paying for a lovely curry? Or am I a rubbish mummy for thinking that's a fair trade off?

Have the curry.
If she doesn't seem Uncomfortable and nappies are normal, it's a fair trade off.

Thanks Derek!

Now there's an idea... I mean it would be a shame for her to miss out on the taste sensation that is Kingfisher Grin

Just broadening her horizons and all that!

Thanks pink - I'd never eat anything that would make her uncomfortable or upset (obviously!) but V glad I'm not the only one that thinks a bit of gas isn't too dreadful!

You will be doing your baby a favour. I ate loads of curry while breasteeding. When my babies were weaning they loved curry spices, happy to eat a curry at 10 months old. Now they adore all types of food, especially Indian.

Have the curry, I had to give up on the spicy ones as lo was sick for a day or two afterwards. But if it isn't bothering her id carry on. Also had to ditch blue cheese and sushi.

I'm surprised my breast milk is still white I eat so much curry. DSs farts scare the cats! But he doesn't seem bothered!

I had the curry Grin. It was AWESOME. DD is happy and bouncy and all good although DH "kindly" called me at work to tell me about her (apparently very noisy) farts. He got my secretary as I was in a meeting so told her instead Shock he has absolutely no filter

I'm glad you had the curry and your DH telling your secretary about the baby's farts made me chuckle
