How much cake (6 months pregnant) is U to eat?
Dh (very dear at the min) has just bought be a huge 12 serving chocolate fudge cake...
So would IBU to eat as much as is humanly possible? Or should I have 1 slice and move away from the cake?

Perhaps one very, very large slice. To start.

Have a large slice then move away. You don't wanna make yourself sick!

Two slices. Then chop the rest up into portions and freeze them quick

Cut one slice. Give that to your DH and them eat the rest.

Ooh 2 slices definitely fine and then maybe more later tonight! I'm pregnant too and that would be my approach...I have an easter egg to eat tonight just waiting for 2 yo to go to bed so she doesn't spot it! Am also contemplating pancakes later...

I'm pregnant with a love of cake too.
Eat as much as you like, you can never have too much cake

It's just so very soft and fudgey and beautiful!
Sadly my freezer is rather full and cake never tastes as nice the next day AND I HATE food wastage and all that so only one thing for it....
Cake
My dh shall get a -slither- slice.
Do I warm it or eat it cold!!! I can't take all these decisions

I'd have it warm now, just microwave for a few seconds. Then later have some cold got to try it both ways.

You cut the cake into 3 slices two 45% slices and one 10% slice DH gets the 10% and you have the others. You have then only had 2 slices of cake.

Sadly, sweet stuff makes me feel sick, so for this pregnant woman, any cake is too much Sad

Well obviously one for you and one for the baby. Unless you are lucky enough to be having twins and then you can have three,

The sticker on the front saying serves 12 is that some kind of joke?

As long as your don't have gestational diabetes and have never had any glucose in your pee at midwife check then go for it!

If you have either of the above don't eat any - any excess sugar crosses the placenta and goes to baby and fattens it up and damages the placenta in doing so Confused

I’m sure the box must have a misprint and should actually read serves 1-2

Yes forever I think that's more likely xx

Where roughly in the country do you live? Helpful Mumsnetters could rush to your aid armed with forks and eat some to save you from yourself....

Each one of the 12 slices will be about 300 calories. So eating half the cake would be 1800. It's best to know.

For chocolate cake support, this never grows old...
