Compromise, call them Fred Kermit and Natan Toad

originalmavis Tue 29-Mar-16 21:04:10

You just can't call a frog Mr Toad. You will give him a complex. What was Kermit's nephew called?

Robin

Fred and Mr Toad?

SavoyCabbage Tue 29-Mar-16 21:08:26

I like Fred and Nathan better. Mr Toad is an outrage of a bus,e for a frog.

However, you could bamboozle your way to victory by 'compromising' with kermit and Nathan or Fred. Then have toad as a surname for both.

In which case, I'd go for Rupert T Bear then.

You need to call one Baron Greenback grin

originalmavis Tue 29-Mar-16 22:03:14

(I think he was a toad). Brilliant idea though.

Hassled Tue 29-Mar-16 22:04:18

Natan isn't even a real name. He's made it up. YANBU.

Can frogs even be pets though? Do people have pet frogs? I had no idea.

originalmavis Tue 29-Mar-16 22:06:05

Do they really go 'gribbit gribbit'?

DoreenLethal Tue 29-Mar-16 22:07:43

What do you mean you are getting a frog. Frogs are wild amphibians. Please don't.

We had a pet frog, or rather the frog had pet people. It lived in an old sink at the back of the garden. I don't think it had a name. The grizzly old tree next to the house did though.

Looking back, I realise what a bloody weird family I have...
