To let dd have a day off school for a party?

Name changed for obvious reasons!

On Thursday dds school is still in (stupid holidays) . They are the only school locally still in.

DDs sports club is having a big activity session party. Everyone but dd will be able to go as the others are from different schools.

DD has had a really crap time recently at school and really wants to go. I won't lie and say she has 100% attendance as she has had a couple of days off ill but genuinely ill.

Would it be really bad?!

Mine are all missing half a day the Monday they go back (or possibly a whole day depending on the M6) as it's my mums 70th birthday on the Sunday and we have a big family party 200 miles away!

They are in Tues - Friday and then split up then.

What kind of message does that send? It's OK to go to school but if something better comes along like a party you can ditch it.
Doesn't sit right with me.

She will be doing sports things all day and still learning.
