AIBU?

To think I don't fit in on mumsnet

I love slogans (within reason) on children's clothes

I actually an interested in Cheryl and Liam, jeremy and Stephanie, Kim and Kayne (and the rest)

I don't wash my bed sheets weekly (although am sleeping in fresh sheets tonight's)

I don't believe that men are the route of all evil, I've meant some equally horrible /gormless /irrational women too.

And finally I know you are not your husbands mother (well I hope you are not) but Don't get why he wouldn't do something for mothers day from younger children (even if you are separated)

Fitting in here does not require the belief that men are the root of all evil.

As for the rest...maybe you should pop off to Netmums?

There's lots of different opinions and personalities on Mumsnet. It's not a hive mind.

You fit in by contributing and by respecting that other people may have different yet equally valid, opinions. Except for the ones that are very very wrong and must be told.

Yes, there's millions feel the same as you, or did you expect every single poster to agree with everything you think?

I have no idea who any of the people you have named are. And you seem to want to be a goady fucker but aren't very good at it.

The bed sheet one so shamed me that I went and changed the sheets on all our beds. (Kids' ones get changed weekly but mine and DH's is... well let's just say less than that). I was all like "maybe I should try living in domestic bliss for once, it will be so lovely to sleep on fresh sheets" but tbh it feels exactly the same and that's 20 minutes of my life I could've spent watching property porn while eating Rafaellos before the kids get back from kindergarten.

Don't be daft
Loads of people on here like celeb chat, that's why there is a whole board for it
Most people on here don't believe men are the root of all evil Hmm what a stupid thing to say. Pop over to the feminism board and ask whether posters there believe men are the root of all evil! There is a difference between patriarchy and men.
As to the rest - meh, we are all different.

OP

You do realise that each of us has different attitudes to each of those things you listed, and there are millions of people on MN?

TheSkiingGardener

I think it's Liam Fox, Cheryl Ladd, Jeremy Hunt, Kim Philby.

Sorry, can't think of anyone names Kayne

I never understand the point of threads like this.

I don't even have children, and I feel like I fit in just fine most of the time

NARP, was Kim Philby not a cold war era double agent?

I believe Kayne may be planning an expose-type 'rap record' detailing their shenanigans

Can we have a dedicated 'I'm not like all you lot and don't fit in' topic? And a sticky at the top of active telling people to use it and read the threads, then they can see that in fact there are loads of people who "don't fit in", and the reasons they give for being different are the same as all the other different people Confused
If anyone posts one of the "I'm so outside the box and individual" threads outside the topic, then they are immediately banned for life Smile
