Babysitting

I'm babysitting for my lovely friends. Their kids are no problem at all but I'm full of the cold and yearn for my bed. Would it be mean of me to text and ask them not to be too late?

Didn't they say what time they'd be back before they left?

No they didn't.

I'm just really tired and cold but I know it's nice to relax when you're on a night out and not be pressured in to coming back early.

Just out with friends. They usually come home around midnight but they checked in just five minutes ago which makes me think it might be a late one. I'm just feeling sorry for myself.

In that case I think it would at least be reasonable to ask what time they're thinking about coming back and to tell them you're not feeling well.

I might leave it until midnight so that they can at least relax until then. They never stay out too late and it's nice for them to have a night out.

ask if you can stay over (spare bed or sofa) and put yourself to bed. You can "be there" for the child if required, but also sleep til morning!
