I was having a shower this morning and was interrupted by my daughter asking where her chocolate was. I joked about by saying I couldn't possibly tell her blah blah.
She said she was going to chuck cold water over me. I said "if you do I'll eat all your chocolate."
She then threw WARM water at me.
IMO that means I get to eat her chocolate.
She says it wasn't cold so I don't.
I told her I would put it to the Mumsnet jury. She is 7 by the way.
I'm not going to I'm just interested who is right in your collective opinion.
TIA Grin

She is. The water was warm.

However, you could pull rank and eat it anyway, "because you said so" Grin

IguanaTail · 14/02/2016 13:20

Are you also 7?!

Headmelt · 14/02/2016 13:20

I think you were both a bit unreasonable. I wouldn't eat her chocolate I would just get my own

MyKingdomForBrie · 14/02/2016 13:24

YABU Grin She's right, it wasn't cold water!! You didn't tell her not to throw warm! I want chocolate now Envy

DoreenLethal · 14/02/2016 13:30

Get a lock on the door perhaps?

Vintage45 · 14/02/2016 13:33

Put your differences aside and share it.

Sharing is caring Grin

teeththief · 14/02/2016 13:35

Definitely needs to be shared at the very least!

I would don your hard hat though ready for the bashers telling you how vile and disrespectful your DD is for throwing water over you!

MangoBiscuit · 14/02/2016 13:36

How warm was the water? Perhaps eat a portion of her chocolate dependant on water temp? Grin

TooMuchOfEverything · 14/02/2016 13:38

Hmm, there is a difference between warm and cold but she has broken the rule in spirit. So punishment needs to be a bit different- I say you get to lick the chocolate, rather than eating it. Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 14/02/2016 13:42

Hmm tough call. I don't think either of you should have the chocolate. Send it to me instead!

It's looking more in my favour at the moment Grin
It was only 2 cupped hands worth so maybe worth a cube of chocolate

PutDownThatLaptop · 14/02/2016 13:48

It sounds like a sweet game! I think you should let her have the chocolate, but sit there with big eyes like a puppy in the hope that she might let you have at least a smell of it.

AlpacaPicnic · 14/02/2016 14:57

I'd say eat half the chocolate. 50% for the water throwing but 50% back for it not being cold.

Compromise!

Mrsmorton · 14/02/2016 15:01

OP, you didn't say lighthearted. Can you confirm that this is indeed lighthearted? That way you can thwart all of the boring twats who will lecture you about parenting.

Definitely lick the chocolate.

Londonmum14 · 14/02/2016 15:22

It is indeed lighthearted Grin
I thought I might get lynched for putting it in my op

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 14/02/2016 17:17

Was the water just above cold warm or tolerable warm?

How big are her hands?

How much chocolate are we talking about here?

What chocolate is it?

So many questions!

Ywnbu to implement a throwing water on mummy tax on it...
