This is true of our nearby playground. There are a few Eastern European mothers who let their boys take a p* on the playground. Yesterday one boy 5 or 6 years dropped his pants for everyone to see and pi*ed on the playground without turning around or at least going to the farthest corner. Envy

Yanbu

Vile

AppleSetsSail · 11/02/2016 12:14

The EEs I know would be mortified at the prospect of their children peeing in a playground, so your post is a bit unkind isn't it?

It's just slovenly behaviour.

BlueJug · 11/02/2016 12:14

It is acceptable in Eastern European culture and is big problem in places like lincoln. it was also a factor in the arrest or fighting of some tv celebrity who tried to stop someone from doing it.

Horrible

MummaB123 · 11/02/2016 12:15

YANBU
It is revolting and shows a blatant disregard for everyone else!

Birdsgottafly · 11/02/2016 12:17

Males being able to Wee where they choose, is a fashion that we should have well got rid of by now.

I saw a man stop in a car and turn the other way, last week, from where children were playing, but still in view, on an ordinary street and take a piss, his mates were laughing.

Likewise on the way home from the Pub, there are always men thinking it's OK, were-as all of the women have 'gone', before they've left the pub.

Children being toilet trained are a different matter, but it always seems to be the Mothers of boys that think it's OK. When my girls were toddlers, I can remember taking them to the side of a building and everyone that passed, said it was disgusting "for a girl".

It's both a lack of respect and everyday sexism.

BarbarianMum · 11/02/2016 12:17

Pretty much acceptible in British culture, I'd say. As long as the person involved is over 18 and has been drinking heavily. Or a dog. And yes - disgusting.

Sallyingforth · 11/02/2016 12:19

I don't know which is the most nauseating.
Peeing in a playground, or the Mail using it to make political /racist comment.

goodnightdarthvader1 · 11/02/2016 12:20

Ick. People like to call RAYCISMSM, but the fact is there are cultural differences like this, and rather than stopping to check with others what the UK norm is, they just vacuously carry on and we're supposed to accept their filthy habits and antisocial ways. Nope.

AppleSetsSail · 11/02/2016 12:21

Yes. Sadly I live in parking proximity of the Chelsea stadium, what a treat that is. Lots of urine, as well as vomit and the occasional poo.

AppleSetsSail · 11/02/2016 12:22

Have you seen how badly behaved your native-British football fans are you fool?

OurBlanche · 11/02/2016 12:23

RAYCISMSM? Whatever it is I imagine rather than stopping to check with others what the UK norm is, they just vacuously carry on and we're supposed to accept their filthy habits and antisocial ways. epitomises it!

WorraLiberty · 11/02/2016 12:23

So if he turned around or went to the farthest corner, you would have been ok with him pissing on the playground? Confused

Birdsgottafly · 11/02/2016 12:23

If there are cultural difficulties, then, they need to be addressed.

However, the men I've seen pissing where they want, have all been UK bred and if you look at the amount of fines (£40) being issued for this, this isn't generally a cultural difference widespread problem.

We've got a big population of EE, in my area and our local schools etc aren't having this issue.

Unusually, as far as I can see the DM did not make any racist or political comment. The OP did that all by herself...

Birdsgottafly · 11/02/2016 12:26

Goodnight, go to any pub/concert/match at chucking out time.

""not the UK norm is, they just vacuously carry on and we're supposed to accept their filthy habits and antisocial ways""

You'll find that it is the UK, mainly male, norm.

WorraLiberty · 11/02/2016 12:38

Same here.

The only issue my local school had was spitting in the playground, by parents from a different culture (not EE).

The HT put a letter out and a sign in the playground, which stopped the behaviour almost immediately.

Notimefortossers · 11/02/2016 12:39

YABU to insert that they are Eastern European as if it has some kind of relevance to the behaviour.

YANBU to think pissing on the playground is disgusting

MillionToOneChances · 11/02/2016 12:43

Parents around here (british-born, naice middle class) let their kids wee and poo next to the playground at the base of the tree that all the kids like to climb Angry. Vile, and nothing to do with race.

LarrytheCucumber · 11/02/2016 12:48

The only time I saw a boy pee in the playground it was the local farmer's son, used to going when he was in the fields. He only did it once, though, once the rules had been explained to him.

paxillin · 11/02/2016 12:50

Never seen any of our many EE neighbours' kids urinate on a playground. I would ask either the child or the parent (depending on the age of the child) to stop should I ever witness such a thing, independent of their heritage (same for the British mc children defecating).

AppleSetsSail · 11/02/2016 13:03

I imagine goodnight with a British flag hanging from her window. Wink

I have never seen any child urinate in a playground. The park is a different matter and all of our local parks have a wee bush which the children pop into/ behind. I can't imagine a primary school age child being comfortable urinating where others can see them.

GloGirl · 11/02/2016 13:06

I feel worse letting my toddler pee in public because he's a boy and his privates are on show so much more. That said, needs must often

juneau · 11/02/2016 13:08

I would be complaining to the council if I saw this at a public playground and encouraging them to put up pictorial signage to let people know, whatever their native language, that its not acceptable behaviour.

For a school playground I would immediately summon a teacher or ask to speak to the head.
