I'll try to keep this brief smile

I've recently been offered a new job, references taken up before interview and all good. Offered job on the same day as interview.

I need to complete a medical questionnaire and I'm a bit worried because I suffered some anxiety a few months ago. It wasn't work related at all - I have a terminally ill grandparent and for various reasons ended up caring for them alone on top of having a full time job and toddler because they refused outside help. Took four days off work to put things in place for them. Returned with no problems after that and didn't require GP to sign me off as fit to return.

Issue was resolved well before Christmas and I took on additional responsibility at work after with no issues at all.

Do you think this would be a problem?

Thanks in advance smile

I cannot see a problem here. There is no evidence that your absence was MH related - you had some compassionate leave to deal with a family problem.

I agree with casual, this was related to a specific set of circumstances rather than an actual health problem. No need to disclose.

Many thanks for both of your reassuring replies smile

It was literally due to a very, very difficult family situation which is now resolved.

Thanks again!
