Ok so I'm hormonal.

But surely when your dp says he will bring you stuff from tesco and you give him a list and he comes home with half the list and nothing yummy to eat, I can ltb?!

3x now!! I'm full of the cold man flu, all I wanted was something to eat and he's bought some mini eggs 😡 I asked for chocolate. It's like the least chocolatey thing.

The other week he promised McDonald's, waited up for him to finish work and again let down!! I could actually cry. I feel so poorly and no way will I be able to walk to the shop tomorrow 😪 Apparent he forgot bread because he was getting stressed 😡

Oh dear god. I'd have left after the first time it happened.

No excuses. If a hormonal woman demands food a hormonal woman gets it. As my DH found out the hard way when he forgot my chips last night

Usernamegone · 10/02/2016 22:59

LTB

LadyDeadpool · 10/02/2016 23:02

I asked DH to bring home nice cookies he brought me oat and raisin. ffs what sort of loser sees "nice cookies" on the shopping list and thinks "Oh yes raisin cookies will fit perfectly."

BillSykesDog · 10/02/2016 23:02

He got you mini eggs? Do you want to swap for mine? He sounds like my dream man.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 10/02/2016 23:04

Nail the list to his forehead. It's the only answer.

ninja · 10/02/2016 23:04

Are they cadburys mini eggs? If which case YABU as they are plenty chocolaty (and I'm usually a dark chocolate girl!)

GloGirl · 10/02/2016 23:07

Raisin cookies!!!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 10/02/2016 23:07

I agree if it's Cadbury Mini Eggs YABU they are wonderful! Especially the white & yellow ones.

cranberryx · 10/02/2016 23:15

I must be weird, I LOVE oatmeal and raisin cookies Blush

Still, nothing more annoying than thinking you are getting something (aka a massive chocolate bar) only to get something completely different! For that, LTB.

When I was pregnant I sent DH out for asparagus and he came back with spinach. I threw the veggies at him. Midnight shopping duties need to be taken seriously.

2rebecca · 10/02/2016 23:16

Only bringing home half the list and no macDonalds sounds like laziness. The wrong chocolate or biscuits is just a different opinion though. If you are fussy about chocolate and biscuits/ cookies be specific eg a large bar of green and black 70% and chocolate chip large round cookies. Or just go yourself. I prefer raisin and oat biscuits to chocolate sweet sticky yuk.

SpaceDinosaur · 10/02/2016 23:17

Oatmeal and raisin cookies are my idea of heaven!!!

Chocolate? Mini eggs? Jesus wept. Cadbury is banned here because it now tastes like shite Galaxy, Green & Blacks or Milka please!!!

OP he's clearly in need of training up. Forgetting fucking bread? Thank him for his efforts and send him right back out again.

SolidGoldBrass · 10/02/2016 23:20

OK, really not sure if you are being unreasonable or not. Getting you the 'wrong' sweets when you didn't specify could just be a mistake, but promising to bring you a meal and not doing so is a bit more worrying. Did he get any dinner that night? And what are the food arrangements like generally at your house?

2 solutions.

  1. Move to Egypt. Mcdonalds and KFC deliver.

  1. Order an online shop. You'll need to meet the £40 minimum delivery so buy yourself wine, flowers and lots of expensive chocolates and nice stuff. Oh and chicken soup as that cures all.
AJ279 · 10/02/2016 23:33

YANBU. When I was pregnant my OH took me through McD's drive through en route to his parents. I ordered a McChicken, a few minutes down the road he noticed me sobbing like a baby because they'd given me a quarter pounder. He took it back for me and swapped it- he knows you don't mess with a hormonal woman's food needs.

Only because he once popped a bag of my crisps and they all fell on the floor and I cried, again, hormonal! Because he's a good man.

Online shop definitely! Move to Egypt when your cold's better Wink

You could just order chocs & cookies, then pay the £5,000 delivery charge penalty for not spending enough.

But I feel it makes more sense to load your virtual trolley with all the niceness you could possibly desire, then pay whatever it takes to get the first available delivery slot.

You could have several crates of gorgeousness by 11 o'clock tomorrow.

MrsFrankRicard · 11/02/2016 00:15

Off on a tangent but you can get mcds delivered here too if these guys deliver to your area one-delivery.co.uk/ we have got a KFC family bucket delivered and it was still lovely and hot. I think yanbu though, except for about the mini eggs as they are nice and chocolatey.
