Dating Agencies

One of my good friends has joined a dating agency and has had approaches from some drop dead gorgeous men thirty years her junior. She asked me last night what I think that men would want with someone her age. She is nearly 60 and the young men around 30 years old. I answered that I thought that men targeting women so much older than themselves was unconventional, and that perhaps she should proceed with caution just in case their motives were dodgy.

I am now annoyed with myself as I think that I shouldn't have rained on her parade and just said go for it and see what happens. I am wondering if I should apologise to her for being negative. I suspect now that she was probably looking for words of encouragement and not for someone putting a dampener on things.

Does anyone have any experience of this kind of thing with dating agencies?

Why on earth would you apologise for giving a 'negative' answer to a simple question?

You can't possibly have told her something she doesn't already think in the back of her mind anyway.

I have heard it's very common for younger men to look for older women on these sites but more for fun than a relationship so older women looking for more find it difficult
