I can't be the only person this has happened to. You know someone you admire, lust at from a-very-far and occasionally, in weaker moments imagine how wonderful you would be together. You're happy in your own life, you know it will never happen but it's a harmless imaginary fantasy world. And then BAM they go and get engaged to someone in their real lives and you have to face it will never happen. The back up life is gone. A slight, not quite sadness, but a definite pause for 'oh....'.

Or am I just a loon having her dream world end that should seek professional advice? Smile

I can't fantasise about someone once I know they're off the market. It's ruined Benedict Cumberbatch. I try, and end up all "but... But....his poor wife and baby!"

The day I found out Tom Hardy was married was a dark one indeed.

Ben Whishaw is both gay and married (well, civil partnered).

Double whammy.

Jamie Heaslip?

I felt this about Benedict. And Eddie Redmayne. And Tom Hardy. And Cillian Murphy. And many many others. Still holding out hope for Tom Hiddleston and Henry Cavill, though...

My condolences on the end of your fantasy relationship. It's most rude of him not to have let you know!

Bad Jamie Heaslip.

YANBU. I will never get over finding out George Michael was gay.

Sad

Although, shallow as this makes me sound, I'm more likely to end a fantasy relationship if I discover my beloved is a short arse rather than already spoken for.
