I don't wear clothes with pockets in for starters.

In my handbag is:

2x reusable fabric bags for shopping
Purse
A pen
Paracetamol
Pack of tissues
Mints
Small deodorant
Small body spray

I use a handbag because it's easier to grab when heading out the door!

Essentials are card wallet and purse for money, mobile phone, lipsil and blood sugar testing kit, also whatever random stuff ends up there, so waitrose bag for life's just in case, pen, chocs from the Indian as I can never eat them so shove them in my bag for safe keeping etc....

Everything that, if I were a man and was allowed by clothing companies to have pockets that held more than fluff, I would have in my pockets, so:

Cellphone
tissues
mini first aid kit
purse
card wallet
pen
sanitary towels and menstrual cup
nail clippers
pain killers
inhaler
and, for reasons known only to my niece, a small doll.

I want bloody pockets. I am not a handbag kind of human.

Purse which is too big for a pocket, house and car keys, makeup, work pass, Oyster card, little umbrella, gloves. My work clothes are generally skirt / dress and a top so no pockets.

This being said sometimes at the weekend if popping to the gym or shop I just take the minimal (keys bank card, id) and shove in a pocket.

Apart from the doll, yes.

The mini first aid kit has come in handy so many times now that DH has stopped telling me I'm daft for having it.

I am the worst example of a handbag user. The handbag is basically a place to put all my shit rather than being a bag in which to put the occasional item I might use when going out.
I have just now:
purse/wallet
lipstick and paw paw ointment
small diary
loose coins and hair clips
various bits of lego, sticks or pebbles that are thrust into my bag
about 20 usb sticks
hat and gloves
tampon, loose in the base of bag
pile of receipts (these get cleaned out)
business cards
appointment letters/cards
earrings
profession badge
mouthguard
pen
plastic shopping bag

when I go out, ipad and phone and keys also placed in there

I use everything apart from the ibuprofen, but it´s good to have.
Umbrella isn´t needed sometimes but a disaster without it!

Oyster card
House/office/bike lock keys
Bike lock
Bike pump
Gloves
Tampons
Lip balm
Powder compact
Retractable brush
Wallet
Swisscard (a very compact, credit-card-sized Swiss army knife)
Spare hair bobbles
Phone

Yes, I do use all of them and no, they wouldn't all fit in my pockets!

Purse, hairbrush, keys and phone. I wouldn't fit that in pockets and can't see it being comfortable either.

This is why I like 'men's' jeans.

Strong fabric with pockets. But then I'm a keys and money person. DD has a change bag though so things like wipes etc go in there.

I simply don't have clothes with pockets I'd be happy keeping everything in (e.g. not all my coats have zips, some of my jeans only have small back pockets etc).

Regularly I have:
Phone x 2 (work and personal)
Purse (which is quite big)
Tissues
Car keys
Makeup (powder and a lipstick or similar)
A pen
Small portable phone charger
Work Id badges (I can work across three offices during the week)
Gloves
Pain killers and a couple of plasters
Headphones
Nail file
Antiperspirant
Small bottle of water

Occasionally:
Hand cream
Sunglasses
ipad or a book
Umbrella
Small notebook

If I'm just running out of the house then I'll just grab my phone, purse and keys (can slot my phone into my purse).

I tend to use everything that's in there, not necessarily every day, but enough for me to be happy carrying it around just in case rather than risk being caught without.

My purse is far too big for my pockets. Also when out with my dp I usually end up with his car keys and wallet added to the muddle. So he's glad I have it and in return he carries the heavy bags haha.

You'd just have to keep taking bits out of your pocket and putting them back in again every time you change your clothes. It's far less hassle to have a handbag (or, in my case, a rucksack).

Also, how will you demonstrate to other women that you have enough money for a Hermés? Grin

I hate handbags and use a small rucksack. It doesnt fall off your shoulder all the time. I carry;
painkillers and paracetamol
phone
wallet
tissues
Basic first aid kit Blush
Lip balm
Spare pound shop reading glasses
fold away shopping bag Blush

And sometimes a spare dog lead, poop scoops, or anything else people cant be bothered to take in their own pockets.
