The one where she has her son help with the shopping and can't string a sentence together/ bumps into son and tries to hide the fact she's having a NYE party. Surely I cannot be alone in thinking these are pretty shyt and annoying!!! Shock

I love Ruth Jones but those ads are awful. The Christmas ones were even worse!

They are embarrassingly shite, I agree.

Perhaps she needed the cash- agree I really like her too!

We just said they must be cringing watching these. They're some of the worst adverts I've seen.

DP and I were just talking about how naff these are last night! So YANBU!

Not very funny (if they're supposed to be?!)

YANBU at all. They are so odd. The casting of the 'son' missed the mark massively, he's too old and rather unlikeable.

Ruined their credibility IMO. The boy is truly awful too.

They are unutterably shite.

The actors were obviously paid very, very well.

Yy the 'son' only looks about 5 years younger than the 'parents'

Like a 30 year old dressed as a teenager.

Report
MrsJayy · 28/12/2015 20:50

He is meant to be the lad who is far to old to be at home (I think)

Theres one just been on and ,as we do every time ,we both shout out SHITE at the TV.

Its the idiot son that forces the words out of our mouths.

I know Ruth must need the money like everyone does but good grief. They must have hidden the script from her.

The gluten-free Latimers 'are coming' family! Confused

They are dreadful.
I can only hope that all involved were either broke or being black mailed.

I totally agree, these ads are dire. The way the "son" says "volly voolleyz" makes me want to scream

Just shows what kind of budget Tesco had to spare for advertising this Christmas, as opposed to how much John Lewis and Sainsbury's spent.

I liked Lidl's School of Christmas advert. Funny and lots of detail so you didn't mind seeing it a few times.

I cringe for all of them every time. I hope the Head of Marketing/Media etc is shitting himself.

Are the Tesco staff really running about getting the shopping for them? Confused YY to 'volly vooleeyz' and the way he says 'party'. Angry Are we supposed to believe that couple are married? Confused

For balance I love the Coop one. Turns out those pensioners got some lovely stuff in that bag. Smile
