I would. But I wouldn't tell anyone else and if they asked where it went I would say it had 'gone off' fgrin

I had trifle and Xmas pudding with clotted cream in the same bowl yesterday. It was lush.

Noooooooooooooo! Are you mad?

Put it in separate bowls... Then cover with cream and scoff them one at a time.

Redcrayons Sun 27-Dec-15 17:22:44

I would.

We're having that tesco Yule log tonight. Can't wait!

Aw I want a Tesco yule log now sad Ours was from aldi. Nice but nothing special.
I will console myself by scoffing the last of the pork pie away from childrens prying eyes.

Last night I couldn't sleep so I sneakily went downstairs and had mince pies and ice cream at 4am. Anything is acceptable during the two weeks over Christmas and New Year 😋

Allalonenow Sun 27-Dec-15 17:57:08

I didn't have trifle or Yule log, but really want some now fsmile

Salmotrutta Sun 27-Dec-15 18:02:23

I'm hungry now grin

Euphemia Sun 27-Dec-15 18:03:27

I made Yule log for Christmas at home, then came to my mum's on Boxing Day and had trifle! fsmile

jevoudrais Sun 27-Dec-15 18:04:49

Most definitely not. I had a massive wadge of yule log and squirty cream (all out of whipped) this morning for breakfast smile

YANBU usual

I have had a dessert based awful incident today. DH made some individual cheesecakes. I dug my spoon in and the biscuit base was a bit hard. As I dug the spoon flipped upwards showering me, the laptop, the sofa and Sparklingcat with biscuit base and black cherries. sad

I am still picking bits out of my cleavage.

Both DH and Sparklingcat were hmm. DH then said the predictable 'How on earth did you manage to do that?' angry I suggested his biscuit base recipe needed tweaking.

SwedishEdith Sun 27-Dec-15 18:16:32

I'm planning on making a trifle this week knowing that no-one else really likes it. A chocolate cherry one.

Sparklingbrook Sun 27-Dec-15 18:17:52

Ooh does that involve chocolate swiss roll at the bottom Edith?

It can involve chocolate Swiss roll or chocolate brownies. Or normal sponge fingers. Not really thought too much about the fine detail yet but have bought cherry brandy, cherries, custard, cream and dark chocolate in anticipation. I'm sure whatever order I put them together it'll work just for me

Sparklingbrook Sun 27-Dec-15 18:23:56

That sounds fab Edith. envy Might be able to eat that without showering myself with it.

MaureenMLove Sun 27-Dec-15 18:25:26

Er, strangely I just did exactly that!

My Yule log was home baked by DH though. The trifle was half price for Morrisons this morning. Tasted fine to me!
