AIBU?

DD is being unreasonable isn't she?

I have been awake since 5.30 and 4yo DD is still asleep!! I'm itching for her to wake up! I can't go and wake her up before she's ready to wake up by herself though, if I do she'll be miserable all day.

I want to do presents! I want to see her face when she opens her beanbag chair she's been longing for, or the pirate ship that she so desperately wants!

She is! Mine are still asleep too, except the baby who is only interested in the lights.

Both mine 4 and 11 are fast on. I am enjoying a quiet coffee before the carnage begins.

The youngest even fell asleep quickly after declaring that he was so excited.

I feel quite lucky, my FB is full of knackered parents who have been up since 5am Grin

Yeah mine too. She was sooo knackered yesterday after all the fun that she was out like a light at 7pm and is still asleep.

DH and I spent hours assembling her sodding play kitchen last night and we're dying to see her face. Oh well, kettle on.

I well remember the days when it seemed that you'd just got into bed & they came bouncing in with their stockings to open!

Mine are teens now & husband & I have both been up for an hour!Hmm

I'm the only one awake too. I've made myself a coffee and gone back to bed, Make the most of the quiet time.

Haha cooking, 'outrageous sleeping'.

15 month old DD is still fast off. We bedshare so I've been moving about and giving her the odd poke, but no dice!

She is definitely BU. As is my 3yo. I feel your pain! My dm used to flick the lights on and off to wake us if we slept too long at Christmas as she was so excited. I might have to do the same. Although she's in the room next to dd's. She'll be banging on her door soon!

Actually I do think DS (youngest) is being unreasonable. Usually he wakes up as soon as I get up so I never have a quiet coffee on any other day

My 5yo is still asleep too. Last Christmas she slept til 9! She likes a good long sleep whenever she can get it. She's in my bed this though, she gets worried about Santa coming into her room.

Mine have been awake since 3. Then 4. Then they started fighting at 5. I finished up downstairs at 1230 as DH had forgotten to make sure the main presents were fully charged. This with the bout of chicken pox this week and I am exhausted.

The mad thing is, they don't even know it's Christmas Day. They think it's the 22nd Xmas Confused

I'm the only one awake in our house. I've prepped the veg, eaten a chocolate Santa and I'm having a coffee now. Ours are teenagers so goodness knows when we'll see them...

She's awake! But DH is still sleeping solidly Xmas Hmm

DD is on our bed and we are having a loud conversation and telling jokes.

I'm the only one awake too. About to make myself a giant cup of tea and enjoy it in peace.
