It's out works christmas do tomorrow. It starts at midday in the office and we are eating in town at 2pm. I am driving and therefore not drinking. Majority of colleagues will be drinking. They get quite load and brash (to a sober me) and act like children - blowing up and firing balloons around the area we are sat in, aswell as chucking fire crackers around the place.

I cannot wait til 5pm when I can get off home!

Is it avoidable? I have dodged mine this year.

I went in,circled the room, nodded at the bosses, smiled at the colleagues, stacked and grabbed 3 m and s party platters and two bottles of champagne and ran back to Dp in the car.

Came home and stuffed ourselves silly

I hate being around really drunk people when I'm sober which is pretty much all the time! I agree, avoid if you can or get away early.

I drank enough so it was bearable.
Food was decent.
Met DH and DD and had a chippy tea.
Got called a party pooper but cba with the hassle.
Officially an old lady.
