AIBU to think that my friends should support me?

I feel very lonely and sad, and wonder if anyone can tell me if what I'm feeling is unreasonable or maybe not, then I might feel better! My ex was an abusive man, during our time together he was in and out of work and used to drink too and he did hurt me once when he was drunk. I think I made excuses for him as I lost 2 jobs and became quite ill during our time together but after a time things came to a head and I ended up planning to leave with our 2 boys. My friends supported me through this, providing money as things were very tight at the time and generally being a listening ear. After I left he made loads of promises - I realised I didn't want to be in a relationship with him so I returned to our family home with the boys and he moved out. I think that's where things started to go wrong as I started to feel I could be me again after a long time without. So I did so a lot of shopping for things for me and the house and maybe shared a lot on Facebook. I didn't even think this wasn't tactful, to be honest - I was just sharing stuff with my friends but then someone messaged me and said I shouldn't really be putting up pictures of tops costing £70 when only last week I'd had no money. One of the abusive things my ex did was deny me sex so when the boys were at his I went on some dating sites. My first encounters were just one night stands but then I met someone special, and although normally I'd advocate waiting a bit longer he was between house rentals so he moved in just 2 months after ex moved out. This drew more criticism from my friends but I just ignored it. I knew he was special. Unfortunately he was also a dad and his kids spent half the week with him. Like many people I found it tough being a step parent, we had different ideas on parenting and he kept telling me I was being too sharp and harsh with his children. I honestly don't think I was. When his kids were at their mums and my kids at their dads life was great. But since it was my house I found his kids in it tough. The relationship dragged on for another year but then we split. Now I have met another man. He's kind caring and responsible and I know things are special between us. But I was accidentally added to a whatsapp group and my friends have been saying the most awful things about me that they feel sorry for my children and that I only think of myself and that my ex wasn't even abusive. It's all so wrong. AIBU to feel that they are unkind and unsupportive and ditch them? They have said they are sorry I'm upset but that I got defensive when they tried to speak to me.
