AIBU?

Is having your bra on show tacky?

I've talking about the front of your bra showing

I want to buy a plunging neckline playsuit.

It's kind of obviously made for women with a smaller chest.

I'm a size 8 and my cup size is DD/E.

The playsuit is black and obviously I would wear a black (non lacy) bra too.

Is this a very tacky look?

Only if it's grubby ;-)

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Some of these more cutaway summer dresses I've been wearing often have a bit of strap ( clean lol) on show!
I'm past caring to be honest

my lovely mummy has just treated me to a load of lovely bras. I think they've made my aging, saggy tits look fantastic.

Personally, I'm gutted I can't go around showing everyone my very pretty bras, and the difference they make to my chest.

But, yes, unless you work in an "establishment", people should not generally see the front of your bra!

This isn't an outfit I'd wear to work.

I'd wear it going out for drinks etc

Buy a plunge front bra to match? Wonderbra do one. I think that would look better personally, I think the point of the plunge front is to avoid seeing any bra straps!

Hard to tell but it sounds a bit tacky to me. Can you try on the play suits with some different bras and see what you think.

Thought you were talking about the back and the straps as some people say that is tacky, but i could not give a toss.
I've only shown the front of my bra off when my dark shirts have been slightly see through.
Not entirely sure it will work, though apparently the look now is too wear suits with no tops on, just nice bras underneath, so maybe you will be ahead if the trend!

If you are a size 8, I am going to guess your back bra band measurement is 26, 28, or 30. A DD/E cup in either of those bands is actually pretty small. In which case I think you would be find to wear it. Smile

Do it! I have my bra on show quite a bit when I go out (not on purpose but I also have large boobs).

I couldn't give a shit if anyone thinks its tacky. It's not like your topless.

If I was going to show off my bra, I'd get a nice novelty colored one just for the occasion. But if it looks like it's trying to blend in with the dress it doesn't look like you know how to fit a proper bra for that sort of outfit, iykwim.

Basically, either own the look or get a bra that's invisible instead of camouflaging.

Wear a strappy top underneath?

What's a play suit? I'm imagining a romper thing with poppers down the fron and legs for easy access? No?

What exactly is on show?
Double sided tape could help put the dress in place and not show the bra.
If I understand what the problem is - same sizes here and often similar problems with deep necklines, regardless of how well the bra goes with the dress, because clothes these days do tend to suit better flat chests.
I see a revolution coming...

I'm a size 8 with 34H boobs and I've got a playsuit which doesn't show my bra, from Debenhams. £12 in the sale! You just need to find the right fit.

I think it's tacky. IMO, the only acceptable 'bra showing' scenario is colourful straps under casual vests. Cups and backs - never. Straps under strapless tops - no.

All *IMO, remember. This got heated last time round.

I'm a size 8 with 34H boobs
A size 8 with a back 34?
Me thinks you're in need of a bra intervention. Or you're a US size 8.

It might be an age thing (I'm 40) but I think it look awful.

I have no real issue with someone wearing say a black strappy top and being able to see black bra straps underneath (although it's not a great look) but when people wear skimpy tops and you can see the entire back of their bra because they've not even thought about how it will look from behind it just looks ridiculous.

The whole point of a plunging playsuit is that you see the plunge and skin, not that you see a bra poking out at the front. I think that would look really tacky and again like you've not even thought about how you look (which wouldn't be the case since you obviously have thought about it).

You have to go for a nice bra in a contrasting colour. Will look silly if ts the same colour and just like you can't get a top to fit.

Fratelli yep, you need an intervention!
