Watched 'Swing'. Bing is on the swing and along comes Pando who wants a turn. Long story short, Pando takes advantage and won't come off the swing at the end of his go. But....stupid Padget keeps pushing him, even though it's Bing's turn. Why didn't she just stop fucking pushing?

AIBU to ban this drivel in our house? It makes me see red every single time!

DriverSurpriseMe Tue 06-Oct-15 18:25:53

Haha.

There was a Bing thread recently, and the consensus was that Pando was a dick and Padget was an even bigger dick for not stepping in during the Swing episode grin

Have you seen the one when Bing has a cold and instead of saying bless you or atchoo, his creepy minder makes this weird noise. That one really pisses me off.

DriverSurpriseMe Tue 06-Oct-15 18:27:59

Aieechee!

bingandflop Tue 06-Oct-15 18:29:29

Despite my user name I actually find Bing horribly saccharine. And flop - do you ever do ANYTHING except pander to your whiny protege?

TheTravellingLemon Tue 06-Oct-15 18:32:32

That episode makes me shout at the TV. Padget has blood on her hands. And she's got the nerve to blame Bing when it's her hooligan of a son (?) that was being an utter twat.

I can't stand Pando. I saw the episode the other day where he just goes to sleep in Bing's bed and Padget is like 'Ooo sleepover'. Yeah, right. Get your panda up, put some trousers on him and take him the fuck home angry.

I love Bing (well, Flop) but Pando and Sula give me the rage. Coco as well. Sula is the worst though, especially in the opening credits ("He's okay!!!" - FUCK OFF).

If it wasn't for Flop being my parenting inspiration*, I wouldn't let DD watch it, purely because of those characters being little shits.

*Except for the one where Bing breaks Flop's phone and PUTS IT IN THE BIN. He's far too calm about the whole thing.

My Sky box ate 40-odd episodes of Bing yesterday.

WHAT A SHAME

Therewasanoldladywho Tue 06-Oct-15 18:46:49

Lol at most of those replies grin

Agree, I made a suitable comment about that stupid aichee, I hate when Sula says 'he's ok' at the beginning and why is Pando always taking his trousers off?? Grrrrr

Hypotenuse Tue 06-Oct-15 18:53:41

Pando is based on a real kid, I think it's supposed to be about tolerance. My DD has a friend like that too.

Yanbu though to be annoyed, but I love Bing and I must defend him, especially as the creator is a MNetter.

pizzaeatingmonkey Tue 06-Oct-15 19:10:07

He's Thomas Cromwell!

IamSantaClaus Tue 06-Oct-15 19:19:50

bing is one of the only shows on CBeebies that doesn't annoy me . Except when coco is in it , she's an awful wee brat . I'm shocked at all the bing hate !

Mr maker on the other hand angry

pluck Tue 06-Oct-15 19:31:44

I hate Sula in particular, though Pando is a little twat (abetted by Paget).

lunar1 Tue 06-Oct-15 19:37:33

Ds2 hasn't watched it in over 18 months and still sings, stop the train for me, I need to do a pee...aargh!!

EponasWildDaughter Tue 06-Oct-15 19:38:36

Yep, rage here too.

And the PA, head tilting ''Why did you walk in front of the swing, Bing?'' from Padget.

Why?! Because you'd allowed Pando to behave like a little shite and wound him up, that's why!

EponasWildDaughter Tue 06-Oct-15 19:41:42

I started out not liking Sula, but she's actually quite kind smile

Don't start me on Mr Maker 'round the world'.

Why the hell have they spent all that dosh on sending him on a jolly round the globe when it could all have been filmed just as well (or better?) in front of a blue screen in the UK?

All the way to Brazil for a 'minute make'?!

MistressMerryWeather Tue 06-Oct-15 19:58:16

May I defend Pando?

Bing was being a whiny, annoying little bollocks the whole time Pando was having his turn.

I think Paget was being a little passive aggressive when she kept pushing, in a 'Get your little face melter to fuck off for a while Flop' kinda way.

hilbil21 Tue 06-Oct-15 20:03:51

The programme wussywat annoys me!! How is that teaching children to speak properly! Wussywat !!!!

Sternin Tue 06-Oct-15 20:04:29

I like Pando. I thought he was a bit of a cock when I saw the swing episode, but I've found him generally preferable to Bing in every other one. Padget is irritating though. Sula and Amma are the best!

Fucking YES! Our licence fee spent on sending that gurning idiot to Brazil/Hong Kong/South Africa to be filmed with kids who most probably don't know who the bollocks he is? grin

UnderTheF1oorboards Tue 06-Oct-15 22:30:28

My kids aren't allowed to watch the butterfly episode. Chilling lack of remorse.

GloGirl Tue 06-Oct-15 22:34:10

Apparently they make a fortune from selling Mr Maker globally so that's probably why they do an international one, encourage them even more.

I don't know why it's so popular though. I guess art is universal?

What gets me is they can afford his airfare to go to all these places but his MakerPhone is made out of butter tub lids!

Sorry but Bing is a whingy little scrotum...
Can't stand Tig either ... Spoilt brat.

Dare I mention Topsy and Tim?! angry

Bing author and tv producers are lovely and are therefore officially excused from making the 'no holes barred' parenting docusoap that is Bing smile

They came onto a thread especially to help a mumsnetter whose child was distraught when some hideous bitch stole her handmade Bing bunny cuddly toy. It was lovely and I have to say we might have carried on watching Bing for longer due to my affinity with it's creators (bored 5yr old alert!)

If you see this you lovely people, I'm so glad you helped in a niserable and upsetting situation not of your making, and I forgive you the slightly too lifelike portrayal of parents and toddlers grin

MiscellaneousAssortment Tue 06-Oct-15 22:56:15

Sorry Miserable, not niserable, which sounds like a really irritating and niggly kind of misery!
