Could you say you want to get both yours and his professionally cleaned?

Tell him you need to get it valued for insurance.

Tell him you need to get some gold shaved off it to buy new shoes.

Tell him you have a stye and need to rub his ring on it.

Tell him you want it back as you've found a better model.

Wrench it off him while having vigorous sex and then pretend you've swallowed it.

If all those fail, just give up and buy him some slippers.

say your insurance needs updated and you want to get it valued?

steal it when he's in the shower and then return it engraved? (Actually don't do this, I would be PISSED if I thought I'd lost it but I actually hadn't)

Say one of your DC wants to take it for show and tell?

Ah that's a lovely idea.

My dh is grateful for socks.

Like the vigorous sex idea but not sure how that would precipitate swallowing a ring unless of course you balanced the ring on his... Oh yes can see that.

At last you swallow and look what happens. Could be a win win! Grin

sorry to be difficult but our rings was cheaply bought, he only takes it off for DIY and nothing needs to be done. perhaps I could sabotage something.

hmm. you could only really opt for a fake 'losing it' situation in that scenario

Get him pregnant so his fingers swell up, or hit him with a hammer (on the finger - not the head)

If that fails it will have to be a long, messy DIY job. Are rings engraved while you wait or is it a thing that takes several days?

Do you have matching rings? If so pretend to lose yours and say you need his for the jeweler to find a matching replacement.

How cheap? Buy another. Switch it during some DIY and get original engraved.

for the set of matching ring it was £500. they are both matching.

Say that you read a thread on Mnet about fake rings being sold. (Element of truth)

And one of the jewellers mentioned was yours and that you want to get the hallmark checked to see if you were one of the people ripped off?

You could, you know tell him... Does it need to be a surprise?

Yes, you could tell him, but don't tell him what the inscription will say. That's what I did.
