Is our anniversary. Supposed to be going out. Is somewhere you need to get to early and queue up. Childcare arranged. Agreed we'd leave at 8am.

At 8.15am he wants 'a quick bath'. He's still in it. Not actually washing, just lying in it watching his phone.

Last night I suggested leaving later. He said no, so arranged childcare accordingly.

This morning when he was moaning about getting up I said we could cancel if he was too tired. He said no.

So why aren't we leaving on time? Why can't he put the phone down and fucking get ready. Why?

If he's not ready within 20 minutes I'm going out alone.

I'm really fucking upset.

Have you told him that? What was his reaction?

Oh Joffrey how fucking frustrating! My DP does this too and it winds me up no end. There's always something which 'needs doing' that can 100% wait until another time.

I hope he gets his arse in to gear and you have a good day.

Go and take the phone. Say you're going in 20 minutes, he can come if he's ready.

Don't be stroppy or upset, just matter of fact.
like I can talk, I'd be fuming

No, but surely he knows?

If I made plans with someone which were dependent on timings and they'd organised childcare I'd be well aware that if I started pissing about they'd be upset they might miss it/worried about childcare favours/generally pissed off.

Pretty basic psychology/manners/common sense.

I threw a massive tantrum at the bottom of the stairs.

We're leaving now.

Oh OP,my ex husband was the same he'd wait till I'd got the children and myself fed, washed and dressed and then he'd go and have a bath Hmm He did that once whilst we were on holiday and my Mum had come away with us.

My Mum and Dad thought he was brilliant before my Mum witnessed me cooking us all a full english breakfast, setting the table, washing up and clearing up after the breakfast, showering the 2 boys, having a shower, washing my hair and getting the 2 boys and myself dried and dressed and he still hadn't even managed to get out of bed.

My Mum said right leave him bloody to it,I did me,my mum and 2DS had a lovely day out together. He was left in the caravan all day by himself. He was sulking and went to have a go at me when we got back but before he had a chance my mum put him straight about everything I'd done, where as he couldn't even be bothered to get up.

He was up and ready for the rest of the holiday Grin

I hope you still manage to have a nice day out and Happy Anniversay,it's mine and my DH's tomorrow.Smile
